Well yea, Russian UFPs and Relict have always been acting as spall liners (especially BVM though).
Firepower didn’t change, gunhandling is the best at top tier alongside the Leo, thermals where Gen 3 before and the BVM is more mobile.
The BVM was already cracked af, T-90M only trades mobility for much better turret armor.

BVM players were always so confident because the armor is great and they could rely on the insane damage model with the side relict.
Also the T-80 is not prone to LFP ammoracks contrary to popular belief.

This is true, because unlike late T-72 and T-90 vehicles, it doesn’t have the 20mm frontal arc armor plate, it just has the non-spalling carousel box that other vehicles get.
Edit: still prone to it i suppose, but not to anywhere near the degree something like the T-90 is
Looool that explains what happend to me yesterday. I shoot TWICE dm23 trough T64 side, center mass, point blank and NO DAMAGE
It’s mostly because of the angle the shell penetrates it at normal distance.
It often just doesn’t hit the ammo.
No its basically just because it doesn’t have the thicker plate.
T-72A and T-72M1 are both just as resistant yo lower plate shots as the T-80.
In practice it means all spall is eaten by driver and/or fuel tank while the rod is left to do the damage, with the extra plate it means fresh spall right next to the carousel

Theres many vehicles USSR and others can recieve, that keeps T-14 away.
Also too little actual data on T-14.
Go on type out the vehicles that can be toptier

T-80BM, Object 640, Object 195, T-72B2, T-80UE-1, thats with only russian developments, updated versions of T-90M and T-80BVM.
What even is t80bm never heard of it

Development was finished in 2009.
Compared to T-80BVM we got in game:
engine is 1400 hp instead of 1250 hp one, slightly better zoom choices but gen 2 thermals instead of gen 3, same gun and ammunition, theres less ERA on hull side but turret side has Relikt too. Turret drives are 2E42M which give you 40° just like 2E58 on BVM but vertical drive hasnt been improved.
Muxh better commander sights. Also might have APS but I think its simply my memory being bad.
