Why is there a massive deadzone for the leopard 2’s? I understand why aiming backwards gives you a deadzone but it actually extends almost 90 degrees out. I looked at the Leopard 2A4,A5 and A7. All of them have this massive fake deadzone.
IRL thats FCS limitation
Cos the FCS Irl raises the gun there
I dont think that should be modelled in game. The 2S6’s missile pods literally clip into the turret base when it aims down, why would they model an FCS limit to the leopard? It literally makes no sense from a gameplay point.
its a real limitation
Used to never do that, then people complained when the missiles and guns moved separately.
In case of emergency they could switch off FCS and fire manually? Cause for transport purposes you can lower the Leopard II gun until in even hits the engine deck and I know you can use the gun without FCS in case it gets damaged.
Also consider FCS isn’t modeled in any case ingame.
This is a video game and as Ive pointed out in another comment the 2S6 can literally clip into the bottom of its turret with its missile pods.
bug report the 2s6 then. the leo 2s gun depression was changed from a gug report, you can do that for other vehicles
They should change it so that turning off the STAB allows for full gun depression over the engine deck.
I reported it and was told that it is a bug.
That’s literally just how it works, though you should be able to aim over the back by turning off the stabilizer, but different depression angles for having the stabilizer on and off isn’t modeled in this game and hardly anyone would use it.
Youve missed the entire point of the post.
Ofc I would, as every RL crew would if there’s need.
