1.The main reason the leopard 2pl stats are bad is because it’s a squadron vehicle, I mean, this vehicle can be played by less experienced players.
2. Honestly, Thermal generation is quite influential in combat, especially at long range.
3.As I said, the weakness of the Leopard 2PL is its weak spot in the gun mantlet and gunner optic, the 2A5 turret is better because it is harder to shoot due to its bow-like design.
At least for now I still hope that this thing can have good protection for against KE and CE, considering how the gaijin treated the bm oplot back then.
2A4M has stats of 0.9, it is played mainly by newbies, I don’t see any particular differences from the Pole, but it is lower in BR and still doesn’t reach 1.
Can be purchased by anyone…
there will be no protection
That’s a pretty small comparison and comparing both of that vehicle won’t make one look better in the statistics,This is more or less like the difference between 2a4m and 2pl battle rating which are not much different too.
Vehicle specifications do not depend on the statistics of the player who plays it, 2pl is considered good at 12.3 and if someone plays it very badly, it means they have skill issues.
Nothing states there won’t be an increase
That is plain up wrong, exporting older variants of the 2A4 is no use, the Leopard 2RI uses the Late 2A4 variant that use C-Tech protection instead of the older B-Tech.

well, strv 122 ufp have c-tech base armor, that will give it ~430mm ke as its base armor, with addon its jumped to ~750mm, so addon alone give it ~320mm extra ke protection, thats pretty big jump for me
so if well modelled 2RI ufp should have 350mm ke from b-tech(in game b-tech still 300mm for some reason)+320mm ke from addon, equal to 670mm ke, “surprisingly” equal to in game 2a7v
As for this, the 2A7V and 2A7+ (HU) in-game are currently stuck with a regular 2A5/2A6 hull rather than the newer hull that they have in real life, meaning they get almost no additionnal armour if the 100mm additionnal frontal composite screens weren’t added, yet despite this the older tanks like the 122s get better hull armour? (eq: 740mm while the 2A7s get a maximum of 660mm despite using C and D-Tech armour?)
Modern vehicles…. 😴😴😴 wake me when they add more WW2 content.
From my perspective, this seems absurd. Why play the 2PL when you can get the same tank at a lower BR (2A4M). Or, on the Pole’s BR, I can get the 2A5, which is much better. Now the 2RI is being added to this nonsense. The Type 10 in Japan would be absolutely superior in every way, but they still have the same BR, not to mention that it’s incredibly stupid to compare the 2RI to the 2A7 or 2A6.
Feel free to provide proof, as far as I know, and everyone I talked with, including Indonesian people, there are no signs that 2RI has C-Tech equipped.
feel free to provide proof that relikt can tank a battleship round
- Because 2PL is “Free”, I mean, of course you can get it for free by joining a squadron and being active in that squadron.
2.i agree about Type 10 that is really good vehicle. But you should know that this thing have Terrible armor protection (in war thunder),The addition of Leopard 2 in the Japan tech tree is quite good I think, especially because this vehicle has a quite different playstyle compared to the Type 10/Bm oplot,This thing has good protection with good firepower too, balance
I believe it’ll be another 2A4M if I’m being honest here, gaijin refuses to acknowledge the armour on any western tank despite public info, and even if classified info was disclosed they would still keep it nerfed.
That would be hilarious if the armor performance wasn’t much different from the 2PSO/2A4M
But hey! We still can hope this thing can have same hull protection with Lp2a7v!
Where? It will be penetrated by all shells; the hull armor is equivalent to a 2A4, plus 150-200mm of added armor, but that won’t do anything. Compared to the Type 10, I’d say it’s even worse in terms of protection.
the 2A7 bar is too low for gaijin entertainment man, they believe tanks from the 1990-2000s (MBT122s) are far well armoured than a 2023 tank…
