Doesn’t change the fact that it doesn’t belong into the game. 2a7v hasn’t been fixed so there’s no point in adding yet another vehicle they’re just gonna screw up. Also won’t fill any gaps

They are the last nations remaining to get APS 12.7 MBTs (Japan could get a what-if APS Type 10)… You already waited 3 years, what’s 3 more months.
It fills the APS gap. Have you not noticed Gaijin adding APS MBTs to everyone else?
There’s other leopards that fullfil that purpose.

The other nations do not have APS MBTs left other than Leo 2A8.
It only makes perfect sense to model 1 tank and copy it for 3 nations.
You can have your “no armour hull Leopard with APS” (Leo 2A7A1) later on really want something unique.
The current 2a7 doesn’t have realistic armor anyway so add-on or not won’t matter, sucks for everyone else but i couldn’t care less honestly. Im against adding a vehicle that won’t even be firing it’s up to date ammo when added

Is there something where Strv 122B can block with UFP that Leo 2A7V cant? Maybe that’s why its such a low priority bug to be fixed (should be C-tech, not B-tech).
But its so inconsequential anyway. But why should that stop Leo 2A8 from coming?
Besides, as I said. The other nations can get APS Leo 2A8s to fill the APS MBT role. Which also includes Germany. So it is likely they are getting Leo 2A8 for that reason. Bonus points for Gaijin to add it because its a NEW tank people will grind for.
As i said I couldn’t care less it has no business being in game. Yes the strv is still superior in practice. taking the armor of a prototype as source that is decades away from the actual vehicle and still refusing to meet these requirements shows gaijin doesn’t care and will in fact screw the 2a8 if it were added

So why not share the vehicle. Germany can have the prototype version
If you are judging a vehicle by “using”, then half of the vehicle in Wt should not exist
Leopard 2 Evolution / Revolution I agree, but not Leopard 2RI because that is the Indonesian specific version of the upgrade package, it was only ever intended for Indonesia.
I don’t want a repeat of the Stingray, where the Thai version was added to the US techtree instead of a proper Cadillac Gage demonstrator that would be more different from it.
Yes that was a misunderstand. I was asking for leo2 evolution not leo2RI, since they are almost same vehicle(at that time I don’t know gaijin provides leo2RI with gen3 thermal and DM53)

I think there is probably a case to add both Evolution and Revolution. Looking at both I think the Evolution might be closer in gameplay to the Leopard 2RI. The main things it adds over the Leopard 2A4 is the APU, FCS upgraded to use DM11 and gun upgraded to use higher pressure rounds, electric turret drive, A/C in the back of the turret and drivers cameras specific to Indonesia, and a heavy AMAP add-on armor kit.
For German tanks I think there is enough differences to add both, and maybe even multiple variants of the Revolution:
Leopard 2 Revolution “MBT Revolution” Demonstrator; Features the same APU, FCS and gun upgrades as the Leopard 2RI, but also options that Indonesia didn’t buy like a remote controlled heavy machine gun, NGVA standard digital systems, slat armor, upgraded sights and laser warning systems with automatic smoke launchers.The AMAP armor kit here is a lighter one than the Leopard 2RI though, more like that used on the Leopard 2SG. But it does have roof protection (AMAP-R), mine protection (AMAP-M) and spall liners (AMAP-L) that the 2RI lacks.
There was also a heavier AMAP kit for the Revolution shown in 2014 (around the same time as the 2RI)
This tank is much closer to the 2RI, lacking many of the additional features the other Leopard 2 Revolution has. But it’s still not a copy of the 2RI, notably still having the new smoke launchers and slat armor of the Revolution, but lacking the APU or the 2RIs driver cameras.For an even more advanced version there's also the Leopard 2 ATD based on the Revolution
Compared to the Revolution demonstrator the ATD introduces AMAP-ADS hardkill APS that can intercept incoming projectiles.
Leopard 2 Evolution Demonstrator; This tank is more basic than the Revolution/2RI. It doesn’t upgrade the weapon, sights or electronic systems, and instead focuses on the AMAP armor kit. It also comes with roof protection (AMAP-R), mine protection (AMAP-M) and spall liners (AMAP-L) that the 2RI lacks.
