Why does the Leopard 2HEL have a turret spall liner but no hull spall liner?

The question is worth clarifying because:

The 2HEL is based on the Leopard 2A6EX development.
The vehicle uses the MEXAS-H hull protection package, associated with the enhanced Leopard 2 protection configuration.
The closely related Strv 122 uses internal hull spall liners; this is explicitly documented in both Swedish-related technical material and the War Thunder Wiki.
The 2HEL is publicly described as having a protection configuration comparable to the Strv 122 family.

So the question is simple:

If the production 2HEL hull did have an internal spall liner, could the source confirming its absence be provided?

If the 2HEL did not have a hull spall liner, then its current implementation would be correct.

If it did, then the missing liner should be corrected.

The point is not to assume that the Strv 122 and 2HEL are identical. It is simply to clarify whether the 2HEL’s actual production hull included the same type of internal spall protection.

In may of 2008, Greece commissioned its first series of the brand new Leopard 2HEL, a top of the line MBT not just in Greece but also the rest of the world. The Hellenic armoured forces had been growing steadily outdated in terms of performance armour and firepower, and with the rise of their competitors armoured fighting vehicle programs such as the Altay MBT, they only realised more and more about the need for comparable armoured …

There is already relevant information in the official War Thunder forum thread for the Leopard 2HEL:

“Greek 2A6HELs are new builds so unlike the German 2A6s they have hull spall liners like the Strv 122. They also have the same MEXAS kit as the Strv 122 on the hull and turret.”

This is stated in the existing Leopard 2HEL - Greece discussion, under the Protection section.

If this information is correct, the hull spall liner should have been implemented when the 2HEL was introduced to War Thunder.

If it is not correct, clarification or a source showing that the production 2HEL did not have a hull spall liner would be useful.

Bedish Swias, as for a real answer you could maybe try to convince the devs that if it’s based on another model that it might have them but they’ll probably still want proof and I unfortunately can’t help with that, perhaps some of the German players may be able to help as a lot of the more dedicated few are very informative with the Leo series.
