Leopard 2E - The Spanish cat

+1 for a future Iberian Ground Forces Tech Tree only.

These two images are of the partially-completed prototype of the Evolución Tortuga upgrade program, this isn’t a standard 2E. Differences being the slat armour, additional armoured lights and the additional 12.7mm HMG.

Below are two images of the completed prototype:

provided it doesnt become another Leo 2 in the german tree yes

or gives another nation a new subline with Leos for everyone…

oh hell no. I may be mad that a Canadian leo went to the german tree but I’m glad there’s trees without a leopard 2, top tier is already really generic with the vehicles just from the leopard spam now, if everyone had a leo it would make the point of playing certain nations a waste of time

Germany doesn’t needed that way. Basically. If all have leopards (and even better) , why we need country manufacturer?

Italy getting another Leopard 2, I’m not against, since with Ariete there’s nothing much to change, my guess is everything was done with that tank, the addition of the Leopard 2E and maybe the Centauro II would make Italy great again.

unfortunately due to how gaijin rules works on addion of vehicles its highly probable to be an event or premium for germany since gaijin adds stuff like this

Since Spain ain’t a sub-tree, +1 for Germany :)

Should’ve gotten this instead of jumping the gun to the 2A7, would have also set the groundwork for a Spanish subtree instead the far worse Swiss one that seems to be growing

If it goes in Italy to make a Spanish sub tree then yes

unlikely, more likely to go to germany, together with the alraedy added spanish eurocopter

It has no ground to go to italy currently

+1 regardless of destination.

It seems like it could be a 50/50 on either Germany or Italy tbh

VRCC is an italian centauro.
The vehicle was solely added to its developer nation. There is no other reason.
With the same reasoning it goes to germany.
Italy currently has absolutly no claim over spain or the leopard 2e

I see your reasoning

Gonna be seeing this with an APS soon, testing with the RADAR’s is being conducted using the 2A4 as a test bed:

Come on, why not while we’re at it! There are still plenty of Leopards missing… One per client country, which means not far to 20 more to add to the game considering future operators! xD

Joking aside, I could see it in a Spanish/Greek subtree in the Italian main tree, alongside a Leo2HEL, which would create a sort of Mediterranean subtree, and would give 4 viable top tiers to Italy considering the KF-51 in a near future ! That would definitely get me started on researching the nation of Italy!

Anyway for me the ground units in high BR should be decompressed from between 11.7 to 13.0 in a not-so-near future, With the arrival of all the latest versions of the most modernized tanks, the Leo2A8, Merkava 4M+, Abrams X, KF-51, K2s, etc., the upgrades should be upgraded to 13.0, and the others, such as the various versions of the Ariete, T80BVM, the latest T90/72, Leclerc, Leo2A7, M1A2SepV3, Type10, Altay, etc., should be distributed from 12.0 for early production versions, to 12.3 for the first upgrades, and 12.7 for major upgrades like the Leclerc XLR, Leo2A7, and others of the same ilk.

Because, quite frankly, there’s already a huge performance gap between all the tanks in 12.0… which is why, in my opinion, 12.3 should already exist! This would avoid ending up with the worst 11.0 tanks against the GOATs of the game.

wrong corner, italy has hungary and soona likely romanian mig 29 sniper
its going away from your 2 named countries.
germany just recently received the spannish eurocopter as well.
Its more likely spanish vehicles go to their developer

That’s true! That said, the Spanish have gear from everywhere, it’s not easy to fit a complete sub-tree wherever. Maybe it’s wiser to distribute the most “important” ones as Event/Sqn/Premium at their manufacturer as you say.
