Because it likely means Germany won’t get another mbt for a few years like we saw with 2a7V no compatible mbt for 3 years
Do we need it? We already have a setup of 2a7v, embt, and 2a8, do we need anything else? Maybe we’ll see embt 2022 later.

Rejoice! Though in the trailer it does not have MUSS 2.0 on it. Hopefully it gets it eventually, if nothing more than the fact it looks cool haha. I’m still pleased and hyped!

Lineups are important. Having 2 actual top tiers and well the embt is just sad for a major nation. America have 4 13.3s and then another like 3 12.7s that are still better then the 2a5 and 2a6 (what is somehow 13.0)

Sweden will have all 3 strv 122’s, now with 2a8 can get a norway one, and strv 123a and b, so sweden can have a future 6 uparmored leopard 2 lineup while german only 2(no embt is not an uparmored leo2), so yeah we need it, need it yesterday infact to just close the number gap with sweden

These are questions for gaijin, I personally don’t see any problems with adding other versions of 2a7

Theres plenty that can be added before 2a8, if gaijin want an aps leo2 they can add 2a7a1, but alongside it 2a6ex and/or the tvm’s prototype added for the uparmored leo 2, or maybe 2a7+ with pso-vt, or all of them
The ODEAN still is not planned for the 2a8.
Its only being tested on 2a7V and for future tank project Leo 3 right now
