Germany doesn’t need the 2a8 yet a better option for now would be 2a7a1 what should of been added
It makes no sense for gajin to add the 2a7a1.
2a8 in the first place is only a sidegrade to the 2a7V
2a7a1 is missing the grucial armored part, and more of a slight nerf
In the meantime 2a8 can be added to multiple nations

I can agree with that. 2A7A1 is probably the better immediate option, since it would give Germany an APS Leopard without jumping straight to the 2A8.

I also want the Leopard 2 A7A1, but there are still better options, they could also add it in a marathon like they did with the T-72B3A, however, this variant won’t give us the protection of the Leo 2A7V, and I’m not sure if they’ll at least put the APS system on the front cheeks, which they theoretically should; In that case, a more competitive German lineup could include the Leo 2A7Q (it has an urban armor package and is a good successor to the PSO, which naturally fits its playstyle, but with the longer gun, although they should at least give it a 6-second reload time), Leo 2A6A3 variant (a bridge between the A6 and the latter two, but maintaining better speed than the first two), and yes then we have our equivalents of the 122A and B, on the other hand, the Tiger UHT is falling far behind, so the Spanish version with Spikes and Mistral missiles, plus a gun for defense, would be welcome in the german tech tree (I know there’s a premium version, but it has Hellfires) would give this helicopter more battle rating, but the transition from the UHT to the spanish Tiger would feel more natural than an Apache.
With these three vehicles, two tanks and the helicopter, we could compete well without relying on a single MBT, of course, the map issues and the newbie players will still exist, but that’s a different story.
That package has never been used in service and while being cool it’s not needed in the German tree as we have vehicles like 2a7+ what were showcased with both urban ops and regular service (idk what to call it)
That’s exactly what 2a7a1 is mimicking really uparmoured leopards close to 2A7V levels
And you didn’t mention the 2a6EX or the much older TVM series of tech demos/prototypes what are either better 122s in the base of 2a6EX and TVM what is literally the 122s but German
Unfortunately this was also be irrelevant due to the fact of the lack of DIRCM and how powerful the top tier SAMS we have got recently the tiger family above 11.0 is dead
Didn’t mention this part but the most logical successor would be 2a6EX Demo 2 due to the fact PSO used 2a6ex demo 2 hull and followed by that would be 2a7+ with its urban ops kit as shown in theses photos

Sure, Germany has many demo vehicles, and many of them are great! I just wanted to focus, as a player, on those that could provide relevant competitive improvements in the game (you know, firepower, armor, and second or third-generation thermals) by jumping to higher BR, like the PSO variant, I think the next step would be the A7+ version because it would offer a more substantial improvement, either from a German demo version or one already in service in another country since Germany didn’t adopt it, but the A7V originated here, and the same goes for the A6A3, but from the standard A6 line, perhaps it could be an improvement on the existing A6 or a completely new vehicle, but all in the same folder.
So, in the A7A1 version, was its base improvement from the A6A3 and not the standard A6? I have that question; I know there was a demo version with the A7V variant that was scrapped (a shame) because it would only have lacked hull armor and In the case of the Spanish Tiger, I know there isn’t much to help, but it’s the best there is, considering that this model exists in the French tree and that the connection with Germany is the helicopter itself, since the connection with the Apache would have been with the Netherlands, but it wasn’t like that, for CAS, it would be best to include the Eurofighter in the lineup, but I know not everyone will have time to grind it; the aircraft tree would take as much time as the ground part.
Iirc the base of the 2a7a1 was from a 2a6a2/ma2 from the joint German dutch units and then upgrade to 2a6a3 spec
I’d disagree with you hear considering 2a7+ would logically sit under 2K as its the demo/prototype/export line so having some tanks like the TVM and 2a6EX Demo 1 and 2 what all didn’t go see service with other countries (yes 2a6ex was used as a basic for 2E and 2HEL but they have differences) and the TVM was involved in 122 trial but used by germany as it was the basis for later upgrades and I’m not trying to say 2a6a3 and ma3 shouldn’t come just saying there’s better alternatives and (all the tanks mentioned above either have good firepower Mobility (1630hp engine on 2a6ex demo 2) or added armour most having mexas or upgrades like a7V
Girlie Bayern isn’t a separate country (although some people delusions let them think it is)

2a7a1 exists
In all honestly, the 2A7A1 should have been added at the very least alongside the T-72B3A - top-tier MBTs with APS have been around for a long time, and the 2A7A1 would have been a perfect backup for the 2A7V ever since (which, to a certain extent, still would be).
Now, however, I really see no reason why we shouldn’t get the 2A8, as with DM73 / DM83, the addition of several new Abrams and another T-90M (as well as an improved Relict ERA) is almost spectacular compared to a single 2A7V, which was added two years ago without any additional backup Leopard comparable to what other nations had already had for some time to this point.

Honestly I agree gajin has focused way too much on air and left ground with scraps 2a7a1 and other tanks should of been added ages ago in reality along
This is where I’d have to disagree for the sake of balance for some other nations where there’s not really anything around close to dm83 and 2a8 plus what other Abrams are there lol? And I don’t think there’s a t90 with improved Relikt but my Russian tank knowledge isn’t the best
Again completely agree they left Germany in a sad state without any new tanks being neglected for 5 years 2a7V should of had tanks like the TVM and the 2a6ex and 2a7+ come at some point over the years (tvms still should of came with 122 but that’s a separate issue)

While looking into Dev Server and live TT, I’ll leave this open for now.
Relict ERA has been buffed on Dev Server, even the new M829A3 cough is barely able to defeat it.
