Are we also talking about the maneuverability of the Leo? As is clearly evident in this video, the Leo 2A6 moves significantly “faster” than it did on the dev server. ;-)
Reload times are a balance thing and not strictly historical, as long as it’s realistically achievable then Gaijin can choose the reload as they want.
Yes, all good. I’m not one of those people who judge Gaijin. Despite everything, I think the whole team is doing a good job. That said, I also find discussions very engaging—provided, of course, that they are conducted in an intellectual manner. ;-) Have a great day, everyone.

Love how Gaijin can’t even get their own story straight…

Please excuse my use of a translation tool, as I am not fluent in English. To begin with, the information you provided pertains to a version—much like the EMBT—where the driver’s vision camera is located on the sloped upper glacis. In that case, the 55-caliber-length gun barrel would physically collide with the camera, necessitating a limit of -7.4 degrees of gun depression via the Fire Control System (FCS). However, the models of the Leopard 2A7V and 2A8 currently in War Thunder feature the driver’s camera on the add-on armor of the front hull, not on the upper glacis itself. In other words, there is no physical constraint preventing the gun from depressing further. Furthermore, despite the German Armed Forces and the KNDS technical support team explicitly stating that a gun depression of -9 degrees is possible, Gaijin has applied a nerf based on unverified information—which is truly absurd. It is frustrating that the irresponsible actions of a single individual end up negatively affecting the entire player base. can you see the diffrence?? In fact, the provided brochure was written in 2024, and the 2A8—which entered mass production in 2025—has no such limitations regarding the driver’s camera.

This can’t the reason for the limitation since the Norwegian leopard doesn’t have that camera but the Norwegian army still lists practically the same vertical limitations.
There is also a limit on the upwards direction, something a camera on the hull would not be the cause of. It’s much more likely that the limitation is within the internal parts of the turret.
In that case, Gaijin could simply reach out directly to the German military or KNDS to resolve this issue. Instead, they fail to take such steps, relying solely on information provided by users to implement patches—an approach that hardly seems reasonable for a developer of military-themed games that claims to prioritize historical accuracy.
Are you really not afraid that KNDS will sue Gaijin for false commercial advertising and malicious competition
They have directly used a source that is publicly available on KNDS website.
When downloaded that brochure states this on page 8:
Specifically this section:

If you think KNDS themselves (the manufacturer of the vehicle) is using incorrect information in their own material then feel free to contact them and ask them to correct it.
I have reviewed both the brochure you provided and the photographic materials from the Norwegian Armed Forces that specify the relevant technical parameters. However, there is a discrepancy between these two sources regarding the elevation and depression angles (maximum and minimum angles) of the main gun. Furthermore, the brochure does not contain a single image of the Leopard 2A8. Let me offer an analogy: if I were to show you a photograph of an M22 tank, claim that it is a Leopard 2A8, and then demand that you correct the figures for the main gun caliber or armor thickness in your own documentation—asserting that they are “completely wrong”—would you find that reasonable? If the information in your documents is truly accurate, why did the KNDS technical support team state that the elevation range for the 2A8 is from -9 degrees to +20 degrees? Does this not represent a significant contradiction?
I got a response from KNDS!!
Currently, there are no external integrated devices on the Leopard 2A8 hull model in the game that affect the gun depression angle, so achieving a 9° depression is 100% realistic. Also, my bug report got instantly banned.
You can let it rest my guy. The devs and BRMs have now decided for themselves that there is an internal change for the L55A1 that limits the depression and elevation for the gun and since theyve done that without any source on the guns themselves were kinda screwed to prove the opposite until KNDS updates their brochures.
So, do you believe there will be any changes when KNDS updates its official brochures?
Also, did you send another message to KNDS, and are you waiting for a response?
If you gonna accept if i got an e-mail from KNDS? i will gonna send an e-mail to solve this issue.
sry, I don’t have it
I think it’s worth a try.
