Crazy, it’s almost like the community has to stand up for each other collectively when gaijin pulls this kind of shenanigans rather than bashing each other about how they don’t need abc tank or plane.
Too bad y’all didn’t say much when it was the abrams because of how much momentum that had. Just saying, somebodies got to be the first nation that the community rallies around and mass pushes for change that will positively impact EVERYONE over time.
Divide and conquor keeps us frustrated, and makes sure we all keep getting janked up tanks.

I’m not even a German main or really have any interest in top tier anymore however this honestly makes no sense when the object in the way of the guns depression angle isn’t even their. I’d totally understand if it was but it was moved, its been modelled as moved why action a report that’s clearly talking about another configuration on the vehicle thats not even modelled.

If you look into it, you’ll see that a few months ago I started a discussion about the possibility of the 2A8 being added to the game; at the time, I argued that if it were added, it would essentially be a “paper” (nerfed) version—and that is exactly what happened. I have already quit the game, and I won’t be logging back in until a new German Leopard tank is added.

The primary source used states -7.4 unless you can find some proof like this user did when he wrote the bug report you’re cooked

Your missing the point, the abrams having a single issue and not getting fixed has never been contentious in the community.
No one has ever said “NO, we don’t one the turret ring fixed”
Yet we have people saying the 2a8 shouldn’t get something it’s planned to have.

I don’t think the explanation that adding an optical system to the upper front glacis somehow reduced the gun’s depression angle, causing KNDS to change the advertised elevation range from +20°/−9° to +17.4°/−7.4°, is particularly convincing.
After all, that optical system couldn’t possibly affect the gun’s maximum elevation angle. Besides, the Leopard 2A8 shown in KNDS’s own promotional PDF doesn’t even appear to have SPECTUS installed.
I’m more inclined to believe that the gun’s actual mechanical elevation range is still +20° to −9°, but that engaging the stabilizer or fire-control system requires some additional margin for stabilization and compensation, effectively reducing the usable range to +17.4° to −7.4°. KNDS then simply used these more restricted figures in its promotional PDF.
Interestingly, both the 2015 issue of KARYS , the official magazine of the Lithuanian Armed Forces, and the Norwegian military technology magazine Militærteknikk also list the Leopard 2A7’s elevation range as +17.4° to −7.4°.
At this point, I think KNDS deserves most of the blame for the confusion. Though I doubt they would particularly care that a video game is using these figures to nitpick the Leopard 2A8’s gun elevation and depression angles.

Also, I have yet to see anyone say the 2A8 doesn’t need to be fixed - not sure why it warrants an emotional reaction if they are. Just ignore them.
What baffles me is you trying to come for me when I made a valid point. You want your leo 2 series fixed? Show up next time and support the french or british when they are trying to get gaijin to act.

How about the BS leopard gun elevation nerf? The gun can’t traverse all the way and has to be elevated when it gets to the rear of the tank? Why is it that only the leopards for that nerf? Why is it that if you shut down your tank the gun will still do that? How many other tank barrels just clip though their own tanks or objects but all of a sudden the leopard 2 needed a nerf.
Enough with this, people are upset that germanys up tank is coming in with some really dumb nerfs, stop gloating about it.

I mean, it doesn’t really matter how many of us try and reason with the devs, they’ll draw whatever fucking shitty stats they want, and go on with their life, 2a8 shouldn’t even have been added in the first place, due to how little information there is about it and how new it is.
Literally a billion leos that could have been added before that((hello all the leos given to other trees except germany(sweden is an exception), so fucking much good stuff that should have went to it’s main creator)) i sincerely despise clones and mirror matches that gaijin is going for, it’s idiotic.

Imagine a german TT with all the netherlands stuff for additional spawns for your lineups, as Germany has much closer ties with netherlands in the military department than france, imagine leopard2ri, 2a7hu and 2a6hel in the german TT, where they fucking should be, so we won’t have shitty mirror matches, and german tree will have the vast majority of it’s good stuff, aaaah, a man can dream
Like, I’m fine with sweden being the ONE nation that also gets a ton of leopards and whatnot, they don’t have a choice really, unlike Italy that has arietes and israel that has merkavas, swedens top tier mbt is in fact a leopard, they can have the nordic brotherhood as their subtrees and everything, sure, but whyyy on earth are we diluting top tier with leos to every nation ?
