Edit:
Seems to be just the name that differs because the page also mention the German 2A7V at the same time.

Is that a german Leopard 2A7V? Because the answer on that report tells me that the info has to be tank specific Community Bug Reporting System
Maybe the proposed 2A7 NO and the in service 2A7V have different limitations.
No.
Correct.
Valid point.
This whole discussion about the gun depression of the 2a7v is so unnecessary since the official youtube channel of the Bundeswehr states that the tank has the capability to elevate and depress the gun in ranges from -9 to +20 degrees. And if the Bundeswehr themselves cant be counted as a valid source i might loose some braincells.
(Edit): I obviously cant comment on the 2a8 since i genuinely dont know. But in terms of the 2a7v this change is just flat out incorrect.
What if it’s only -7.4 in the front and it can actually go to -9 when aimed over the side
The Leopard 2A7V changes resulted from Gaijin’s blunders, as they had to patch flawed armor modeling, spall liner bugs, and broken suspension physics.

:)
Well at least we get some consistency
Sadly a video like this falls second to a primary source like the brochures we have
But gaijin have now accepted the updated source for the 2A8NO, so the depression might be made a tiny bit better
Would it? It’s from the military that operate the vehicle themselves and is uploaded on their own youtube channel.
I’m actually not sure.
How can this video be categorized as a secondary source? In my mind this is a pretty solid source.
Exactly
It’s worth a try to use it as a source for a report on the depression on the German 2A7V.
Im going to make a report later. (Gotta get home first tho)
The only minor change I can thing they made was making a shatter plate work and iirc that was before the blog
Just curious if a video from the military in question talking about their own military hardware counts as primary source.

I dont speak German, but this video just seems to be a generic video on the Leopard 2 rather than one variant.
Also, in the video it is not showing a Leopard 2A7V when they are talking about the gun elevation angles, it is showing a Leopard 2A7 (or maybe 2A6)
Me too, i actually don’t know.
You can turn on Captions and let youtube auto translate. There is also some information in the video description.

I tried to do the auto translated captions and it didn’t work for some reason.
In the section on gun depression, do they specifically say they are talking about the 2A7V?
