Do you trust that more than the 7.4 from the brochure?
This one, right? “In an upcoming update, we plan to update the Leopard 2’s damage model and fix minor inconsistencies.”
Both values are essentially the same, so it doesn’t really matter.
I would probably keep using the brochure value as we have the full document, though.
Sure because having 2 values for something that should be a definite value is completely normal
if it suits me
Because one is visual and the other is not i would assume?
At least the Norwegian variant.

The chronological impossibilities are made up though, the information don’t exists in the sources the creator of the report says the information is from.
You have a primary source showing a different vertical gun limits for the 2A8 for Germany?
They can both be correct at the same time, one for the German version and one for the Norwegian version.
The report wasn’t for the Norwegian version being slightly different. Its trying to discredit the brochure as a whole for both vehicles. You have to read the answer within the context of the report.
Again, you can make a report for only the Norwegian version needing to be different.
Yeah bro, have fun!
Surely they didn’t forget…
No. Sent as a suggestion usually means that the reports sources are slightly conflicting and needs verification, that the sources might be unreliable and not provide exact numbers, or something similar. So in the end it’s up to developers discretion on if they want to implement or not and in what way if the sources aren’t clear and secondary in nature.
It can also take a REALY long time before a suggestion report is reviewed. Bug reports are prioritized based on how much they break the game, how many are effected and things like that, suggestions are likely at the bottom of the list and there are probably thousands and thousands of them.
Where did they do that?
"In the near future, we will update the DM for Leopard 2 tanks, " literally in the post above… About spall liners and mbts
So the values are -7.4 to -7.69 and your solution is to put the gun depression to -9?
Ah yes the famous norwegian Leopard 2A7V.
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/T9Srt2HhlufK
Ok lets find out.
My solution is to view both sources critically based on the inaccuracies and wrong numbers and not treat them as immediate gospel.
Just like Gaijin usually does when it comes to brochures Community Bug Reporting System
But of course only if its a buff
That’s what they used in the trial lmao q 2a7V
And is the linked source about a 2A7V? No its not.
I have two primary sources to support my view, sure they are a TINY bit different, but they both agree that -9 degrees of depression is incorrect. So far, nobody has provided me with any other primary documentation to prove I am wrong, so I will continue to use these sources.
The Eurofighter issue is completely seperate and was handled badly by Gaijin.
I welcome people using the updated Norwegian source to bug report, if they would like to try and get the Leopards depression increased slightly from -7.4 to -7.69.
You have 2 primary sources that disagree on a specific number, doesnt matter that they are close, they are different. So either one of the sources is wrong or as Necronomica said the German and Norwegian versions have different depressions but saying everything is dandy, because the values are similar is just nonsense.
No its not. The Eurofighter issue has a primary manufacturer source that got denied, because the devs think their knowledge is worth more than a brochure. It just shows that there is 0 consistency and standards on how sources are handled which is the core problem.
There are also many differences in the speed listed for the Leopard 2A7 and 2A8 in primary sources.
Some say 60 while others say 61, 63 or 65kph.
Does that mean we should throw away all of those sources as they don’t perfectly agree?
“therefore correcting any minor discrepancies.”
Minor. I would guess that some changes were done but probably not what you wanted them to be?
At the very least we should research into why there is a difference in the first place and then get a unified consistend standard on which source to use. Because otherwise you end up with situations like this or the EFT one.
