Leopard 2A8: A Coveted Trophy

It is your job to to not spread fake shit around simple as that.

oh btw hard lesson (applies to me as well and probably a lot of people here seeing as we all are taking about top tier): paying money for War thunder doesnt entitle you to take part in development

I agree with this

Honestly, the sunk cost in this game is way too high. Feeling this dissatisfied, I should have quit a long time ago. But I’ve put too much time and money into it, so I can’t just walk away — which is why all I can do is come here and complain.

Totally understand and feel you, i am in the same situation

It’s not just planes tho. All Apaches got LDIRCM no matter if the operator actually bought it. All STRVs got dm53 despite Sweden not using it. Arietes also got DM53. All based on technical compatibility.

Just gonna put this out there. But everyone says that its their nation being oppressed when gaijin, in classic fashion, screws its players over regularly.

The leclercs, challys, leos, abrams (not disputing they’re the best right now, just still not actually modelled right), merkavas, arietes… everyones mbts are massively thrown under the bus.

This is a gaijin problem. And like I said during the heavy cav update, until EVERYONE stops fighting for or against one specific tank and COLLECTIVELY demands change as a whole… nothing happens.

There was enough momentum to get a 16% (should have been 35%) buff to the lfp of the brams while they then turned around and reduced internal bulkead to 9mm despite an accepted report proving it was 25mm. (Which would be reflected in an increase BR - not trying rehash but using as an example). That took a huge chunk of the player base.

But everyone else argued against it complaining about their own nation.

As long as that Everyone For Themselves mentality we will keep getting the exact same thing. And people will keep making posts about how germany is hated, UK is hated, US is hated, isreal, france, italy… doesn’t stop till the community recognizes the need to advocate for each other so that EVERYONE gets good tanks at top tier.

thats the best way to deal with the amount of BS the devs are trying to sell

You gotta not over-invest in individual reports, implementation is always down to dev discretion.

You’re right, my friend — the final say is always with the developers. But they’re only human too; they get things wrong sometimes, and sometimes they have their biases. So that’s all I can say. I hope you can work out the rest yourself.

I cause enough emails for these guys that I’m surprised I still get answers on my reports.

It stops when people actually invest time in playing other nations. Lot of single nation players running around with a persecution complex thinking their nation has been hard done by.

But there’s one fact you have to accept: in this game, you can’t just switch to another nation on a whim. You need a premium account, you need premium vehicles, and you need hundreds of hours spent grinding down a tech tree. It takes a huge investment on several fronts before you can casually say “just go play another nation.”

Think about it — how many people can sit in this game for hours every day grinding a tech tree? How many people can throw piles of money at premium vehicles? Do you really think that’s easy?

If the grind in this game weren’t so long and painful, and the cost weren’t so high, then the vast majority of players would have both the chance and the ability to experience different vehicles from multiple nations. In that case, the number of players who shout at each other over a single nation would start to shrink. But as long as that precondition isn’t met, the situation will always be the same: a good chunk of players in every tree end up stuck in the grind and never get to experience other vehicles — and it’s even harder for them to form an accurate judgment about any given vehicle.

Or they could just add a feature that lets you transfer research progress. For example, say I’ve fully researched the German tree, and now I want to try the US tree. With a feature like that, I could lock the German tree so I can’t use it, and instead open up a US tree at the same progress level for me to use. In that case I’d not only understand German vehicles, I’d also get a chance to understand US vehicles. That’s when misunderstandings become far less likely. But unfortunately, no such feature exists yet.

You have more than enough games to have multiple TTs open.

Good thing is you have the time. Games been out since 2012, and the game is not going anywhere any time soon. So take advantage of the 50% off premium time during sales and just make a start on those other lines. Most often the journey to top-tier is more enjoyable than top-tier, anyway. Take your time and you’ll get there.

But hey, I grew up with games that had actual long grinds (Navyfield).
