Leopard 2A7V should get 12,7mm gun

My simple suggestion is, that the leopard 2A7V gets the same 12,7mm gun as the PSO got, I really dont understand, why we are walking around with 7,62mm gun… I mean, I wouldnt even care, if it could destroy fences, but I cant and its really annoying to play with the 2A7V in a map full of fences that are just sitting in your face and you cant get rid of them properly.

What bugs me even more is, that, in my knowledge at least, the 12,7mm is the basic gun in real life also - so why gaijin is torturing us with 7,62? Is it simply balancing reasons or something else?

IIRC Leo 2A7V does not use 12.7mm machine gun and only 2A7+ uses it

Technically it could use it as the flw systems are available to all and iirc was originally shown with it in demos but it’s not what the bundeswehr prefers

Really? I thought the A7V was made for the purpose of being compatible with newer tech… well, if its true, then this suggestion is stupid, yea

But isnt the top gun changeable? I thought the A7V has access to more modern weapon systems including the 12,7mm gun.

But I think, if the A7V has at least access to it, it should be implanted in the game, because its technically possible.

This is probably one of those cases of could use them but IRL didnt use them.

Challenger 2 has this issue. 7.62mm MG is the standard because its the ammo as the coaxial making logisitcs easier and was better suited for the operational needs, so that is what we have on most in-game.

But it could fit a 12.7mm, but that was just very rarely actually used IRL. (Could also use a 40mm GL)

I wouldnt be surprised if the same applied to the Leopard 2s. IRL they just used the lighter MG, but if they really needed too, then a 12.7mm would probably be fittable and usable.

Well, Technically Possible is another topic, because thats true, however the BW doesnt operate the FLW200 on 2A7V’s

If the bundeswehr wanted it the 2a7s could be fitted flw-200+ what is a rh202 or when the flw 500 what is a 30mn but again this is impractical for the bundeswehr they prefer the mg3
