Gajin tested it already with dm53 and the us round. They took 25% of era effectiveness away, i believe
And thats for old rounds not the newer ones

If dm73 is added, t90s and t80s are gonna light up green everywhere. Even if relikt is buffed to IRL stats, DM73 will punch through. They’re designed to defeat ERA. Only reason why they’re not added is so not every russian mbt will join the space force. Though with the addition of the BMPT, I’m leaning to adding the dm73 lmao.

DM73 is just DM53 but at a slightly higher muzzle velocity (for in-game purposed anyways).
Why would that suddenly roflpen all Russian MBT’s?
This is not the reason
- Tungsten alloy, increases fracture toughness and shear resistance. Survives ERA better.
- DM73 is longer so again less impacted by ERA.
- DM73 has a chisel nose to minimize destabilization.
- DM73 has a better optimized tail for flight performance. so mid range its harder for ERA to be affective against a perfectly aligned rod.
- Dm73’s mass is slightly forward so again less likely to whip after impact.
- Gaijin has people believe that ERA is impenetrable to APFSDS. Relikt was designed with DM53 in mind. This forced the DM63 and DM73 to be developed.
- Side note (even dm53 should be able to pen relikt on the edges of the ERA but Gaijin has the UFP modeled as one wall of ERA. Kinda like how the oplot’s UFP is modeled, there should be gaps in the UFP where APFSDS can punch through.)

We are talking in game here, and for a matter of fact currently DM73 wouldnt have that much higher penetration then DM53.
Gajin would actualy need to implement anti era feratures, but those arent in the game currently

We don’t need anti era features. Just increase the pen values of DM73 or in someway make them pen relikt.
And add the edge pen feature on UFP like the t90.
So in short you are also wrong to think that Gaijin doesn’t find workarounds all the time.

Gajin doesnt do that, they dont use rough estimations etc, when there is no hard value they dont butch.
2A7V has less armor then Strv122, which is 30 years older armor technoligy.
Get it in your head that DM73 wont be that easily implemented to just lolpen everything, when u dont have actual sources, and war sources are not allowed to be used.
U made all those claims, but all those claims u need to proof first as well, with primary or multiple secondary sources.

And yeah I never pushed for dm73 to be added now, hence my sarcasm earlier saying how t90s are gonna light up like a Christmas tree. Also with no primary sources yes gaijin won’t be adding it to the game yet. I was simply responding to someone asking me why a 30 m/s increase in muzzle velocity will help the dm73 a lot which it doesn’t. I don’t know why you’re so mad at me. I never even responded to you in the first place? If you’re just mad that your Russian tanks are gonna be obsolete soon with the dm73 or you lack emotional intelligence, I think you should spend some time off the forums.

I dont understand why you think Gaijin needs to add some voodoo magic to get ERA to work the way they need to. They just need to tweak the code for DM73 to punch through relikt. This game is not that realistic LMFAO

M829A2 is from 1994. 120mm DM53 is from 1998. You want a more advanced dart because the US has a dart that’s 4 years older than the one you already have?
