This issue was completely ignored
The gear ratios are not publicly available though, it’s unfixable per Gaijins current bug report procedure and thus effectively rejected ;)
Fair enough, i guess gaijian wants us to do thier job. I heard something about some people asking leo 2a7v drivers and e-mailing the producers.
Which makes no sense, a tank driver is probably not told the exact gear ratios and transmission specs of his vehicle.
Besides that, it’s an automatic transmission anyways.
Yea thats why i doubt anything will happen from that regard, maybe we will get information from the producers? Would not be surprised if they go the same route of the type 10 and go “We are too lazy to make it correct so make a suggestion about a mechanic we didnt add and maybe we will fix your tank”
Every day that goes by without mentioning anything about the 2A7V reports or without mentioning that they are going to fix it and add the 250-300mm KE missing armor, I lose hope that for once Gaijin will add a Leopard 2 more armored like they promised us. I feel like Gaijin only laught in our face and the devs now are thinking something like: “Look at those idiots who think with they effort and REAL evidences can make a Leopard 2 historically accurate, having AT LEAST the same armor as the STRV 122´s series. Poor guys they really thinked they can have a more armored Leopard 2 for Germany.”
Has Leopard 2A7V been weakened today?Feeling easily penetrated
I haven’t noticed any changes but people are already adjusting to the new armour, unlike the strv122s its just a small change to easily kill.
We’re at .31, no changes since release (.14).
On the other hand people are probably figuring out the stupid weakspot on the hull roof which is a guaranteed kill on the left side…
I think no, on the datamine stats are the same. The only thing they touched has the spall issue
This weakspot has been for year´s but with the spall liners addition more people are waking up
On the drivers hatch yes, but not the rest of the roof.
This is the one I am talking about. On the hull roof of the 2A7V and 122´s with the spall liner at least the first shot don´t spall and is not a guaranteed 1 shot kill. Maybe the second, but on the driver´s hatch everytime 1 shot
Maybe a dumb question, but why tf do they need the new gear ratio if the acceleration is the same as the 2A4’s???
Kinda seems like something that could be inferred from the fact you know what the acceleration is and the weight increase, so all thats needed is picking an appropriate gear ratio to fit???
They’re spinning up new excuses to prevent it from getting a buff.
Sure seems like it tbh.
Theres a lot of that in this game, its one of the reasons i dont bug report anymore.
Some of the “reasons” they give for not modelling stuff properly is pretty dang stupid.
One that still bugs me sometimes is “we have no reactive APS system ingame yet!” For not modelling MUSS’ 360° function.
As if they couldnt just use the Iron fist APS’s code and change the effector from a hard kill to an IR dazzler, seeing as, yanno, the iron fist DOES have 360° reactive coverage… -_-
They actively refuse to use stop-gap measures as solutions when it comes to even the slightest buff for nations that they believe are undeserving of it. Even the AHEAD rounds could have been modeled as proxy rounds, and fixed at a later date (estimating 2034 before the monkeys find an effective solution)
Hell, they actively refuse to provide buffs/fixes to things they just sont like, and ive seen devs spread outeight misinformation, such as “the AIM-54 is only capable of intercepting bomber sized targets and missiles, both targets that dont maneuver much” despite the fact that the VAST majority of AIM-54A’s confirmed kills are against fighter targets…
The fact they just actively refuse to fix anything about the 2A7V is of literally no suprise to me
You should be able to get a rough calculations? We have RPM, speed, distance, time, road wheel circumference, RPM, engine HP, weight plus other bits.
Velocity = initial velocity (0 from start) + acceleration x time
Wheel RPM = ( Velocity / Wheel circumference ) x 60
Gear ratio = Engine RPM / Road wheel RPM
(correct me if im wrong)
