The Abrams’ gas-turbine engine sound is pretty much perfect now, but the diesel engine sound of the Leopard 2 family is still noticeably inaccurate.
I would reccomend you make a bug report for it, if possible.
Also maybe try a soundmod for the time being, until Gaijin meddled with the sounds again.
Feels like too much hassle. I’ll just live with it and keep playing.
Listen to that engine sound and look at the color of the exhaust — now that’s what a Leopard 2 diesel engine should sound and look like.
Diesel engines are usually dominated by low-frequency sound. When a diesel-powered tank drives past you, you can almost feel the air vibrating around you, rather than hearing the relatively sharp, high-pitched “electromagnetic” sound that dominates in the game.
bro that video is literally showing a cold start and a cold engine, its gonna sound different to in game, like sure in game its quieter than it should be, but it will never sound like that because that is an abnormal situation
not exactly something that gaijin can replicate in a video game, whats next you want them to mail you a tank of diesel so you can experience the smell too?

Not really. I can kind of hear the resemblance too, especially that deep, mechanical chugging sound at low revs. Obviously they’re completely different engines, but the sound character is oddly similar.
