Leopard 2 depression

so only leopard 2 no have depression is side ap afther 100 grade the gun need to look up from chasis but the gun have to much distance from chasis interesting fact other nato tanks no have this problem only fore leopard 2 is" realistical"

whut?

“So, only the Leopard 2 doesn’t have gun depression? When the gun is traversed past 100 degrees, it needs to elevate away from the hull. However, the gun still has a large gap between the barrel and the hull. Something interesting; other NATO tanks don’t have this problem, only the Leopard 2 does. Is this realistic?”

selective realism is gaijins specialty

Yes, in this case the intelligent limits from Leopard 2’s fire control computer have been implemented.

All modern MBTs have similar digital systems in order to prevent damage to the gun barrel. Older tanks often had mechanical linkages which artificially restricted traverse and elevation.

Worth looking into.

the issue isnt that they have been implemented, but rather unequally implemented
such FCS based restrictions on turret traverse and elevation angles must be applied across the board for all vehicles that have it or none at all.

gaijin doesnt know anything about equality.

same issue with details internal modules. theyre added unequally. so are spall liners

And yet as we have seen, Gaijin is content to implement these vehicle details incrementally. Things that are already in the game will tend to stay in the game.

If the intelligent limits imposed on Leopard 2 bother you, why not do research into the same feature other tanks and report it? That’s what the CBR site is for.

I’m a British main, Challengers have had intelligent limits and lacked spall liners for a long time.

“incrementally”
such a nice sounding word but is it really fair?

how about incrementally applying realistic limitations starting with NATO vehicles and ending with russian vehicles (over the course of a year)
is that fair?

sure in the long run it all balances out, but do the players who play during that year of inequality get equality for their time in the boiling pot?

wanting realism is one thing, being so mentally consumed by malicious intent is another.

i dont want to intentionally nerf any vehicle.

yeah and considering that other vehicles have gotten them, its not fair the the challengers have to wait so long for it

consider that gaijin added TVD, such a game breaking technology, incrementally. Is that fair?

Duplicate thread, this has already been discussed a while back when the change was made.
