Ru forum suggestions work differently though, literally any can put a suggestion up, then it gets voted on I think.
Notice that i keep a common sense in the nation in wich I choose to suggest it.
while France has a claim over this tank, I leave it to Germany.
While Germany has a claim on the Leclerc Evolution, I think it’s more fit for France.
for me, it sounds fair.
but keep in mind the CV90 is designed by Hägglunds/Bofors and the UK is not using it or showing any interest. and Sweden uses it a lot, was the first user, and the tank was first designed for their need.
while the Thing with the Leopard 2 A-RC 3.0, there is currently no nation that ordered it or used it.
so despite my opinion which says this tank would be weird in the French tech tree, it remains that France has as much claim until the situation with the tank changes (if it is ordered for example).
Leopard 3
since the Challenger 2 Rheinmetall prototype was suggested in Germany while it was designed by Rheinmetall UK, it is obvious that a claim like that counts nonetheless.
but while i recognize there is a claim from both nations, my opinion is this tank would be a weird addition for France.
just like the Leclerc évolution would be a weird addition for Germany.
or the Challenger 2 demonstrator from Rheinmetall for that matter.
this suggestion was written over 2 weeks ago. the tank was revealed a bit before. but most of the writing was done ahead. the time the suggestion was pending is sometimes long.
i also had written a suggestion for the Leopard 2 EVO. but I did the mistake of posting it 5 days before it was revealed and the suggestion wasn’t approved because I didn’t link the source it wasn’t released.
Are you certain the Leopard 2 A-RC uses an Akeron MP? I was under the impression it uses Spikes. Also, I don’t believe that’s an ARX 30 RCWS. Something German, I’d imagine.
i see no source there.
maybe you should verify the source before just bringing that up
*answered in the 130mm testbed thread
There is a difference between two companies that merged but still operate as separate departments and extensions of an existing company. Nexter/KNDS France most likely had little to no influence on this project, unlike Rheinmetall UK. Rheinmetall UK is still part of Rheinmetall and used assets, expertise, and development from outside Rheinmetall UK to make the Challenger 130mm test bed. That is if they even made it, which I doubt, as Rheinmetall Defence UK Limited has only 45 employees, and it was not tested in the UK but in Germany.
Furthermore, Rheinmetall is a German company, unlike KNDS, which is international. So even in the best case, the 130mm challenger has a better link to Germany than the leopard RC has to France.
What sort of claim do they have to it? The vehicle per KNDS Deutschland (or, as they’re better known, Krauss Maffei-Wegmann) themselves, is their IP, not KNDS Frances’.
There’s no technological connection between it and France, none.
The only “claim” France may have to it is the fact KMW in now part of a holder company KNDS, but by applying this sort of logic leads us to a funny situation where both nations could claim the things of the other party and be totally valid about it (as long as said things were the products of the companies involved).
seriously, guys, i see no point to arguing about what claim Germany or France have. it’s pointless.
like it or not, France has a claim over it.
but it does not matter. i suggest this vehicle for Germany, not France.
why do you guys keep focusing on a petty something that is not going to affect my life, your life or the gameplay? it’s already in the German section, what are you trying to win? changing the mind of a guy that you will never meet in your life? strong or weak, the claim will not change anything
It’s pretty obvious, right? People don’t want an obviously German tank to be added to France just because of a very weak link. This is especially true if the tank is unique.
What’s wrong with calling out a weak potential justification for another nation to get a very unique vehicle. It be one story if it was an obvious collaboration, but it’s not.
Try telling the french germany has claim on the leclerc evolution amd watch how that ends
i already did
the answer is “It would be really annoying if they give them the Leclerc Evolution after they gave the DF105 when we know the DF105 was a French design, but at least they let us have the AMX 30 Super” or something like that. but they went over it after 2min thinking the subject was close. i guess they just do not see the point of adding more
Do you think there is a risk?
like seriously?
AFIK no one amount Gaijin thinks that. trust me, I poked around. but they still let people talk freely
just do not worry. it would not happen.
They gave Netherlands to France, still haven’t given Italy, isreal or Japan a competitive top tier SPAA, constantly add new top tier premiums and break half the game each update.
At this point I trust them to do anything, but fulling the fire that is this community won’t help with their concerns.
Just to be fair on both side, on your leclerc evolution post here : Leclerc Evolution, the most advance leclerc
you should also add “i propose this tank for France and not Germany, although Germany has as much claim over this tank as France does” cause both are KNDS project
they gave Benelux to France. not the Netherlands specifically. but this is something that I also disagreed. and the whole community (France included and specifically the BeNeLux community) wasn’t really happy about it
what I suspect is they keep them all together to see if they would give Benelux a tech tree on their own. As for now, only 1 single new plane was added, and like 10 copy-paste. That was a weird choice. they could just add the single plane alone if they wanted it… but this is a decision from the studio in Hungary.
they do not seem to know the community well.
Gaijin being out-of-touch when it comes to what the community (specific parts of it) wants? That’s news to me, they 100% pay attention to our wishes, and it’s not like we have to practically revolt in order to force them to actually act on our behalf, no no.
