Leo 2a7v and 122b+

Freebrams

Thinking about that, they could add Norway in the TT as it has prems there where you have options like the 2A7NO/2A8NOR, i have seen it being sugested already so there are options

2A7NO doesn’t exist, it’s been reclassified as 2A8 NOR after Germany revealed their plans for a “new standard” (basically, they’re the exact same tank since 2A7 NO had already been planned to use Trophy afaik).

That aside, I don’t think we will ever see a Leopard 2A8 as a premium, but Gaijin could always prove me wrong.

As i said, they could add Norway to the TT so they could a the 2A8, I also said the name in that way cause Norway has used booth, and the one sugested says 2A7NO

Sweden already has a sub-TT so that’s very unlikely, plus, Sweden doesn’t need a 2A8 as they’ll have their own Strv 123.

has used booth, and the one sugested says 2A7NO

They didn’t. They had tested a German 2A7V, and decided they want a tank based on it, but after Germany unveiled the 2A8, they switched their order to a 2A8 NOR.

2A7NO basically doesn’t exist.

You guys been know it?

Insanely gimped? I read it was only missing an additional 100mm on the front plate?

Year old issue, actually.

ah, shit

No, it has roughly 100mm less protection than the 122 but should be way better

What a joke…

Both are tough nuts to crack the design of the Leopard 2 with crew spacing makes them very surviveable.
The breach I feel eats too many rounds, shots on the top or side often lead the breach being undamaged
Commander sitting on the oposite side of the gunner means you need to disable both the gunner and commander or a good player just hits overide and deletes you.

Saying that they are killable, you need to try and catch them at the angle aim for the just behind the front road wheel and you can frequently one shot them even with lower penetration darts.

Ironically the worst thing about is that it’s not just a weakpoint that matters when you’re in the hangar, it does actually matter in matches as well:

Any other Leo 2? I’d have lived.

for sure.

The commander literally sits behind the gunner on the Leopard 2

Really…On all models? I often only manage to kill the gunner, never get both. I havent really looked just made the incorrect assumption

The internal layout is identical for all Leopard 2s…

And thats exactly why we often say people are just to lazy to learn leopard weaknesses
Or even to lazy to look if ots a strv122 or any other leo.
And just shot at the wrong spots.
The killzone to kill driver, gunner and commander is quite big

It’s the same with many tanks at top tier.

Abrams and Merkavas are also big “offenders” for this. People will claim that these tanks have outstanding survivability and that they usually eat 3-4 of their shots before dying, but when you look at their replays it turns out they just can’t aim for shit.

Most of the time people equal non-penetrating hits with survivablity, when they’re contradictory. Survivability is all about surviving hits the penetrate the armor and enter the crew compartment, a tank being hit 10 times over without a clear perforation means that it simply has good armor for the BR it sits at, or that people shooting it aren’t aiming well, nothing more - nothing less.

With good aim, the difference between “least survivable” and “most survivable” MBTs more of then than not boils down to a single shot difference. Heck, I OHK’d 2A7Vs yesterday using M1A2 SEPs HEAT, simply because I aimed well, and HEAT shells aren’t exactly known for having great post-penetration lethality xD

In the same tune, I actually managed to score a few kills on M1A2s with the goddamn DM11 after running out of KE shells in my 2A7V, was funny as hell.
