The huge sacrifice made by the Soviet Union cannot be overlooked, but it still stands to reason they didn’t win alone.
Now imagine how great the losses would have been if the Allies weren’t there at all.

It wasn’t that long ago people were complaining about the constant US event vehicles. Besides, adding event vehicles to the minor TT means once less vehicles that can be added to the main tree. Which minor nations are in desperate need of.

Even a hungarian vehicle would be fine, just please add an event vehicle (italy has tons of domestic vehicles anyway)

“Minor” nations having few available options to add is just a false falacy. The Reality is that they often have just as many options as any major nation.
In France, May 8th is a public holiday, just like in Britain, as far as I know. There are ceremonies and war memorials are decorated with flowers.

just looking at the marketplace, right now
US has 38 tradeable vehicles, germany 34, russia 43 (before this event), british 26, japan 11, china 3, italy 4, france 10, sweden 3, israel 1
that does not take in vehicles which are not on marketplace, or where non tradeable smaller rewards

the sovjet union was earlier part of the conflic, there was no if, germany attacked sovjet union directly, the usa could have said, we do not go to war in europe and could have focused on japan, sovjet union did not have that choise

Allies won in the battle of Britain without the soviets. which severly crippled the Luftwaffe.
The allies won in North africa without the soviets. Maybe the Germans would have had more resources available, but so would the allies as they wouldnt have been sending resources to the soviets and they could have redirected ships defending the North sea convoys to the mediterrean.
battle of the Atlantic would still have been won by the allies, again, theyd have had more escort available without the north sea convoy escorts being needed
D-Day and Scilily landings would have still occured, but likely just more delayed whilst bombing raids occured.

One can look at this at a variety of ways. It’s well documented that Stalin was pleading to the Allies around 1942-1943 to do anything to take pressure off his front. If Britain had simply stuck to its island defenses and if there had been no campaign in Italy and North Africa (not counting the Normandy invasion in May of 1944); the USSR would’ve struggled far more against Germany than it did. No one is downplaying their sacrifice. But the decision for this event is just weird and of poor choice to a lot of people.
Yeah, I really dislike it. I think Eremin’s Yak-3 is actually a pretty decent prize in a vacuum, but this is the third Soviet prize for these events. I’m really sick of Legend of Victory being a soviet exclusive.
