35K every two days, 500K to sale for a bloody rank III is ridiculous.
I’m tired of this perpetual event cycle, the urge to tryhard to finish tasks, the neverending FOMO and this is not helping my motivation to run these.

I think that it’s better for a event to have a premium copy paste thing than a very unique and wanted vehicle, because then it will be forever locked behind a paywall or unavailable to the majority of other players.
But I agree that reskinning a vehicle is extremely lazy. They could at the very least change its armament.

Two years ago:
Event vehicle (non premium), 6 tasks total, 5 to receive the IS-2, 25K score each.
So 125K for a rank IV event vehicle then vs 210K for a copy paste premium rank III yak

@Smin1080p @Stona_WT Why is “Legend of Victory” a Soviet exclusive event?
Victory over the Axis in WW2 was a team effort by all Allied nations, as such it seems inappropriate to only acknowledge the Soviet Union.
(Also, since the new event system, 2 out of 5 rewards are Soviet.)

I think they are going to make vehicles rank 1-3 premiums because they are low tier rewards. Like when we had 3 non-premium top tier rewards and one premium low tier reward.
It’s May. The entire month is dedicated to the glory of USSR defeating Germany; they call WW2 the “Great Patriotic War”.
The history profile picture isn’t only a Soviet, it’s a Soviet soldier whose company hoisted a Soviet flag on a German building, just like the May 2022 pic and the May 2023 pic. It’s easy to guess what the May 2025 picture will celebrate.
I quote the blog on this “In the final stage of the War in Europe, the hoisting of the red flag over the Reichstag became a matter of Soviet national prestige.”
May is only about USSR defeating Germany (according to Gaijin).

Its May, its victory special, it is a shame of a event vehicle, just copy paste, way to much points for sale, not realy feeling like honoring the pilot, realy i would not mind a sovjet vehicle or themed event in may, but this feels so much unfitting

I get that, but why does Gaijin have to specially honor this occasion more than other equivalent celebrations? This is strange when they are ostensibly not a russian company.
In comparison, the “Victory in Europe day” or “VE day” seems more like an afterthought, usually just a few 3D decorators or decals.

Yeah I have to imagine if Gaijin ever went hard in the paint in censoring people over that, they’d have a PR disaster on their hands. If I remember correctly, IL-2 took a stance and it blew back in their face quite noticeably.
Yeah… Its not like the Luftwaffe was severely weakened from the battle of Britain, or the German forces were depleted in North Africa, or that the soviets were receiving massive amounts of supplies via the north sea, which the allies and allies alone were defending and risking their lives traversing
Heck, we could have gotten a French Event vehicle for their valiant defence of Dunkirk, or German vehicle from the Blitzkrieg or a British/US/CW vehicle from the North Africa campaign victory. All events that occured in May

Well its not that other allies do not celebrate it, but they are not doing it that massive, for exaple USA has 4. july, france celebrates 14. june, only the sovjets giantly celebrates the victory over germany, reasons? the france had to rebuild there country, usa still fought a war, brits also had to rebuild london, other smaller allies, not to be forgotten, mostly had to rebuild thier countrys
Do you know why the victory in the Second World War is celebrated so much in Russia and the rest of the countries do not give importance to the day?
