let’s not forget the myriad of very annoying auto cannon light tanks, be it prototype or not (looking at you ebrc jaguar)
embt 2022 would bring aps for france so this is always welcome. From what I heard they also want to upgrade it with a 140mm ascalon gun, so if the game survives to 2024/2026 (most likely date of showcase because of eurosatory) we might get a second 140 mm tank
If we followed your though, we should retire DM53, M829A2 and all rounds prior to 2000. Because appart from wikipedia, you won’t find any source today.
Anyway, what’s so wrong about adding OFL 120 F2 to the leclerc ?
It would buff France obviously. If minor nations could perform as well as major nations then less people would play major nations which is where 90% of released premium content is made. We can’t encourage less sales that would bankrupt Gaijin.
Yes & no. DM43/OFL F1s diamater is 27mm at the helical ribs (i.e the part that connects the tungsten rod to the discarding sabot), whereas 22mm is the average diamater of the tungsten rod (which is what Gaijin uses to calculate performance).
For example, average diamater for DM53 is 23mm, but the diamater at the helical ribs is 26mm etc.
These “stats” are from Janes… the same document (it’s actually a series of military articles published by a public company that is not affiliated with neither the French nor German armies) that claims OFL F1/DM43 performs on the level of DM33.
its a document published by a french journalist Bruno Barillot, idk what you talking about, and this information are findable in books too, about “uranium appauvri”, those information were declassified because those apfsds-T were nefarious for the environement, so the french governement declassified information about ofl 120 F2, after destroying it in 2000.
The original ‘graphic’ for the “GIAT” brochure had been shown in a Janes article years prior to that “document”, that’s what I am talking about.
Secondly, this “document” was never classified (as it’s an article), it has always been publicly available (for 4.57 euro’s back in 2000, or 7.80 euro’s today adjusted for inflation).
Thridly - are you aware the “640mm” this “document” is talking about is 640mm at an angle of 60 degrees? If not, then go and look at Sombralix’s calculations again.
you got all wrong but its ok, please make some research and after talk before saying anything for attention. And search about Bruno Barillot and his books, you will learn something real for once
