HISTORY
In February 2017 Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace as the world leading supplier of remote controlled weapon stations revealed their latest’s developments at the Orbital ATK Bushmaster User Conference. This event and demonstration with live firing took place in the United States of America on February 1rst in Arizona. In this demonstration we saw the Oshkosh JTLV - “Joint Light Tactical Vehicle” armed with an 30x113mm M230LF chain gun integrated in an Kongsberg Protector Remote Station RS6 and an GDLS LAV with the integrated Kongsberg Protector Remote Turret RT40. The LAV with the RT40 was the centerpiece of the demonstration as they wanted to show its ability to so called “up gun” the vehicle from the 30×173mm cannon to the new barrel with the 40x180mm super ammunition with airburst.

This suggestion is for the GDLS LAV with the Kongsberg Remote Turret RT40, this is from my understanding a cooperation between the General Dynamics Land Systems Australia (GDLS-A) and Kongsberg Defence & Aerosystems to create this vehicle. The vehicle is the LAV CRV or what i have understood its referred to as “MOTS GDLS LAV 6.0”. This vehicle was in Norway for several months where Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace was working on integrating this Remote Turret RT40 onto the vehicle and they did a number of testing’s with the vehicle and turret at their own range at Hengsvann, his should be the only one of the vehicle.

The vehicle has then as mentioned the ability to upgun from 30mm to the 40mm barrel, and this suggestion will because of that be in two parts, as the ability to upgun the vehicle in-game is not supported at the moment, and likely wont be. But it could potentially serve as an anti air vehicle or similar.

Difference between the 30x173 & 40x180 Super
As mentioned earlier in the post, the “centerpiece” of this demonstration was to demonstrate the RT40 turret’s ability to “Up-gun” from the 30x173mm cannon to the 40x180mm Super cannon in Ca 60 minutes with minimum tools needed. This were tested at this demonstration, and can bee seen firing in this video below from ca 2:40 and onwards. This vehicle, in this video became the first ever Tactical Vehicle to fire a 40mm ABM - (Air Burst Munition) round.

IN GAME
This is an interesting vehicle, it could serve as an nice light tank in-game with great mobility and a great cannon to fight most of the enemy armor it would face in addition to low flying aircrafts.
