Triple rails carrying AGM-65g which is not implemented in game

I can’t read the designations on those missiles, but I’m 85% sure they are not 65Gs

It also doesn’t really help when we have manuals that state: AGM-65G is not authorized for carriage on the LAU-88(the triple rack) in plain English.

Iran never had AGM-65Gs, the late F-4Es in US ANG did however, but the current one in WT isnt period correct so it cant have them

While reading through some of the weapon delivery manuals, I also stumbled upon another physical limitation that prevents 65Gs on the LAU-88.

It seems that to use the shoulder rails of the LAU-88, so the middle one is fine technically if not for weight restrictions, the seeker assembly needs to be rotated in to be aligned in the up position (why some Mavericks have an arrow on the seeker head).

Notice the metal band with the alignment arrows (pictures in spoiler). On the G it states it’s not allowed to rotate the seeker head. This rotation band/alignment thing is just a quirk with the IIR seeker variant. The TV/CCD and laser variants don’t have this issue.

I imagine one of the reasons why it’s not allowed on the F/G is that the warhead on those versions slightly protrude into the seeker head assembly:

Here are pictures of the D and G showing the rotation collar, as well as showing that color is not a good indicator. I have seen some arguments be made that some pictures with Mavs on the LAU-88 are 65Gs because of the grey color. Well, the 65D can be grey too.

Spoiler

AGM-65D (notice comp B warhead) with grey seeker head and green body.

AGM-65D all grey, though inert, the “AGM-65D” marking can be read on this one.

AGM-65G (PBX warhead), “AGM-65G” marking can also be read on this one. Note the “alignment rotation not permitted” next to the collar.
