Lets go guys. We can do it!

I’ve been waiting for the Latin American tree since 2016.

And this is my first time on the forum, I just came for this vote.

Nice

The first one is one of Brazil’s attempts at converting the M8 Greyhound into a self-propelled rocket launching system. It was developed by the Instituto Militar de Engenharia, and is already in our tree under the name “M8 (IME)”.

The second one is the XLF-40 another development very similar to that of the M8, but based on the X1 Pioneiro. The rockets are 300mm in diameter and weigh 540kg, so I deemed it to be overkill for the tree and left it out.

We have to remember that if at some point MLRS systems, and submarines come to the WT.
Brazil already has the 2000 and 2020 astro systems.
as well as the submarines built by Brazil.

There is already gripen in the game, it would be interesting to play with the Brazilian “Super Tucano” (A-29)

I can’t wait until someone leak another top secret file of a tank from Brasil.

As a brazilian myself this would be great to see in the game!

There’s absolutely no reason to remove vehicles from the tree. Other countries contribute to it, filling gaps that would otherwise be filled by copy-paste tanks or simply left empty. We’re presenting all options here for Gaijin to work with, and for the community to better understand and support the project.

Hello! I love the idea, have you guys consider the Guaraní armed with the MSHORAD (Mobile Short-Range Air Defense) witch uses the Sweedish RBS-70 NG as it was shown by SAAB on the LAAD 2023

I haven’t added it probably because I forgot about it, but it’s definitely eligible for the tree!

The Leopard 1A1BR is there, which would be a bit different from the Leopard I in game. The Leopard 1A5BR however would be practically just a copy-paste, so it’s out. The Brazilian Marines’ “AMX” is the SK-105A2S Kürassier, and it’s in the tree.

I am no expert on AA systems but from little I searched on SAAB’s website, it would seem like it usually operates as 2 unit group, radar unit for finding targets and a mobile firing unit, tho the missile itself is fired with optical guidance, as said by SAAB “Autonomous operation, stand alone”, thus it would work in war thunder but it wouldn’t have capability to find targets, only to track and fire… Or at least thats what i understood of it, I might be saying a lot of crap, if so I’m sorry.

It’d work just like the Chaparral and other similar vehicles, I just don’t know how effective an RBS-70 NG is to be compared to the former. If it’s comparable, then it could replace the Ecuadorian Chaparral in our tree.

They are very effective, it is a much improved version of the RBS-70 mk 1 and mk2 (currently in the game).

Take these photos and links from a suggestion I made of this same system in another TT, so you can calculate its BR.

Spoiler

This is an Argentine Army Marrua with an RBS-70NG x1 (Guaraní can have three at a time, ready to fire). It could be a lower BR than the Guarani because it only carries 1 missile ready to fire and has no armor.

I really hope Gaijin will make it happen, because most of people don’t really know how hard is to our nation to get represented in entertainment media, even with a lot of stories to tell. The project is amazing, good job! +1

I mean, I, personally, would love the Leo1A5BR so i can have my full Brazilian lineup. But i think the only difference is that Brazil can use DM63 105mm. I think that is not much reason for they add another Leopard 1A5

My only issue is I like WW2 and hate having post WW2 Vehicles at 1 -5 BR Im taking 60s 70s even 80s stuff.
I don’t want anymore T34s or Shermans, I can’t tell who the hell is who in the battle, its a joke and no the blue letters don’t cut it so don’t tell me that we can see who is who, we cant among the smoke and close proximity.

That aside I’m surprised Latin America is not already present, some good vehicles in there.

I wonder how long it will be before Gaijin ditch the Idea of nations and just bring all the worlds armored vehicles in.
