Hello,
The point of this forum is to discuss a reload time reduction of the late heavy tanks like M103. The tank occupies battle rating 7.7 at rank V and boasts an APBC shell, HE, and HEAT-FS as its primary offensive ammunition. Many tanks at 7.7 have balance issues with tanks between 8.3 and 8.7. Many offer stabilizers and more modern ammunition varieties that we all know slap late heavy tanks. What i am suggesting here is an expiriment of sorts. I believe one way to make these heavy tanks more viable in full upteirs would be to lower their insanely long reload times. This would in turn make them more viable brawlers, rather than being delegated to support and would allow them more active roles in given matches. I understand the game uses armor quantity and mobilty as a way to justify whether a tank has a longer or shorter reload time, mixed in with a little bit of historical accuracy so things dont seem far fetched. However, with the way things are between 8.7 and 7.7 tanks most matches feel very lopsided and 7.7 is a battlerating i completely avoid. So my suggestion for you, Gaijin, is to dip your toes in testing late heavies with FASTER reloads. Do not mistake this as me saying fast reload times. My first suggestion with the M103 would be to lower the reload by approximately 33%. I would also suggest this for the Maus, IS-4M, and see how the vehicles perform. I think faster reload times with this minor of a change would be justified against what they have fight in full upteirs.
