Larger maps with more objectives

Larger, more dynamic, and fun maps : * New Maps for Air RB and Air SB - More Variety and Immersion

Hello pilots and Gaijin team,

I’d like to suggest adding new maps for *Air Realistic Battles (ARB) * and *Air Simulator Battles (ASB) *. The current map rotation has become repetitive, especially at high BRs, which hurts immersion and gameplay.

  1. Repetition: 70% of matches are on Mysterious Valley, Sinai, Rocky Canyon, or Spain.

  2. Size Mismatch: Small maps like Mozdok are unplayable for BR 11.0+ BVR combat.

  3. SB is hit hardest: ASB EC needs huge, varied maps, but we have few and some are unbalanced. [Suggestion]

New Map Suggestions:

For both ARB & ASB:

  1. Bering Strait: Cold War naval/mountain setting, USA vs USSR. Great for over-water BVR and valley dogfights. Size: 128x128km.

  2. Persian Gulf: Based on real conflicts. Mix of desert, sea, and cities. Oil tankers as naval objectives. Size: 128x128km.

  3. Alps / Central Europe: Mountainous map with narrow valleys. Forces WVR and terrain masking. Variable weather with low clouds. Size: 96x96km.

  4. South China Sea: Modern naval focus. Islands, carriers, frigates. Perfect for 12.0+ BR with F-14, F-16, MiG-29. Size: 128x128km.

ASB EC Exclusive:

  1. Vietnam: Dense jungle, rivers, low clouds. Historical for 9.0-10.3 BR jets. CAS and CAP missions.

  2. Fulda Gap: Classic Cold War scenario. German plains with cities and forests. Great for 24/7 EC.

Implementation Ideas & Solutions:

  1. *Map Ban System *: Let players ban 1-2 maps in the queue, like in Ground RB. Reduces frustration.

  2. *Size/BR Filter *: Maps <64km should not appear at 10.3+ BR. Create a separate rotation for Top Tier.

  3. *Dynamic Objectives in ARB *: Bring EC logic to ARB. Respawning bases, AWACS, convoys. Matches won’t end in 4 min from base rush.

  4. *Variable Weather/Time *: More dawn/dusk, rain, and cloud cover. Affects BVR and IR combat, adding depth.

  5. *Rework Old Maps *: Expand Afghanistan, Spain, and Rocky Canyon to 128km for high BR.

*Why This Matters: *
New maps refresh the game without needing new vehicles. They increase longevity, bring players back, and improve the Simulator experience, which is a dedicated niche in the community.
