Hello, and welcome to my suggestion. This suggestion is dedicated to the new main Surface-To-Air missile system of United Kingdom, replacing old and worn out Rapier.

Introducing:

Land Ceptor

But first, a little explanation. The vehicle found in this suggestion is the same, as the one found already in game, as a part of Sky Sabre system: Sky Sabre (TEL) | War Thunder Wiki
Land Ceptor is capable of operating both as a part of a Sky Sabre system, and as a standalone vehicle, disconnected from a battlespace network. This suggestion focuses on a standalone Land Ceptor vehicle.

Now with that out of the way, time for some history.

History

Land Ceptor roots begin in the early 2000s. The main UK air defence system of that time was a Rapier, which entered service in the 70s. While modernised, it was clear that going forward it is not going to hold its own in ever-evolving battlefields. This brought to life CAMM - Common Anti-air Modular Missile and FLAADS - Future Local Anti-Air Defence System projects. The goals of these projects were simple: create a universal anti-air missile that can be used by all branches of the military, as well as platforms to employ said missile. Let’s focus on FLAADS (L). Future Local Anti-Air Defence System (Land) as the name suggests, was the land platform developed for employing CAMM missiles. The first iteration of FLAADS (L) will not be seen until 2011, where on DSEI a small, 4x4 MAN truck carrying 12 CAMM missiles on its back.

Now this iteration was only the beginning. It would not be until 6 more years, till the current configuration of Land Ceptor had its debut at the 2017 DSEI exhibition.

From this point onward everything went smoothly. Firing trials took place in 2018 and the vehicle entered service at the end of 2021.

This sums up this suggestion. This vehicle while present in game, it is unable to spread its wings. It is currently chained to the radar, this suggestion hopes to release its shackles, allowing a separete Land Ceptor vehicle to roam the map and shoot down planes.
