Idk when it started but I came back to the game one day and its starts to have lag spikes I have no idea what is wrong I have tried everything I can think off even upgrading my pc and its still not fixed. When ever I am playing I cap it at 144 it drops to 139 and the screen kind of freezes or spikes for like a second then it goes back to normal. Even when I turn fps limit off it still does it please help.

this can have many reasons but 3 of the most common ones are:
1-graphic card hardware problem
2- graphics card driver not updated
3- the game files are broken (I suggest to delete the game and install it again)
Not a good suggestion, a better advisory would be to clear out the 2 main culprits first (In the game folder, is a cache folder, as well as a ‘compiledShaders’ folder, and both of those can be emptied out safely), and from there a clearing of the settings folder, which should be in the ‘My Games’ of the My Documents folder.
From there though too, is the situation of having to reinstall the game. The default install folder is in the %localappdata% special folder, which I detest it being installed there. I always prefer simple C:\Games\XXX-XXX locations.
For steam users, “verify integrity of game files” can work quite well IME.
well my graphics card is brand new and it was doing it with my old one as well so its not graphics card realated i wouldnt imagine
Hey everyone. after the most recent update, I started experiencing weird and inconsistent lag spike in game, in both air and ground battles. when i first start playing, i have close to 200fps with graphics on maximum, but after a couple of games, the lag gets more and more common. I have updated my graphics driver, deleted and re-installed the game, and tried turning my graphics settings down to no effect. its also worth noting that my fps is pretty stable when these spikes do occur, almost always consistently at 150-200fps. would anyone have some suggestions on how to fix/diagnose the issue?
