I thought it would be a funny little decal to add, given that it’s quite rare to find that kind of anime pin-up on an aircraft.
CONTEXT
“Lamu” is the French name of a japanese cartoon from the 1980’s called Urusei yatsura (From the manga of the same name, drawn by the famous Rumiko Takahashi). It was quite popular among French children during the late 1980’s and early 90’s, thanks to a famous show called “Club Dorothée” which broadcasted a lot of animes during that time.
20 years later, this pin-up was drawn on Mirage 2000B 115-YP during Tiger Meet 2009. It was known as “Lady Tiger”. Guess someone still held his childhood crush dear in his heart.
