Kurnass is well known for being a F-4E but with many differences: principally, it comes with 18g missiles as default, has “Agile Eagle” kit to improve maneuverability and having (technically) more IR missiles (6 and not 4).
but even with all that, it should be at 11.0 due to the lack of good IR missiles (F-4E has AIM-9J and Kurnass has AIM-9G), also radar has a lot of issues to lock enemies near to the ground (i wasn’t able to lock a MiG-23ML at 2km while flying at 300/500m) and how ez is to fool the radar with chaffs.
also the fuselage is fat and coarse, making it a very bad dogfighter (even with “Agile Eagle” kit), the engines are very bad for that big plane, making it to have bad acceleration and being reached by MiG-21s/23s
Kurnass gets effectively the same kit as the US so if the kurnass goes down the F-4E should go down too
The radar does have alot of issues cause it is a earlier radar (as alot of jets are around this BR) where most fights are done higher up in higher altitudes or BVR fights (hense why ground clutter really oof’s the radar at lower altitude use the the 3-5 lines next to SRC to dictate how cluttered it is. Full 5 lines lit up = alot of clutter will struggle, none visible = no clutter and can easily find stuff)
I think the 11.3 BR as opposed to 11.0 goes down simply to the AIM-7E-2 (Dogfight), Much better pull off the rail compared to the AIM-7E which takes roughly 2.5s to actually start tracking whilst the E-2 just goes straight for the target
If I recall 9G’s can be radar slaved also which the 9J cannot do effectively making it better
9Gs also have a much higher range, and the Kurnass can carry 2 more IR missiles.

I’m amazed its not 11.7 given the sheer number of missiles it can carry, However making it 11.0 i think would just be a horrible change. Esp since F-4EJ’s/Mig-23MF’s etc at 11.0 only with effectively worse missiles (excluding the 9P’s for the EJ’s)
Nah, I don’t want to see Kurnass in 11.0 while A-7E with 4 less AIM-9G and way worse engine stuck at 10.7.
then at least fix the radar
i got less issues using a MiG-23M’s radar than in that thing.
Kurnass’ radar can lose the track by itself, enemies don’t even need to make defensive turns
if u can get a radar lock…
and AIM-9J has 2g more, making it turn better, and the seeker is way better making it more effective at short-range
Sure, with the removal of its E-2s it can be the same BR as the F-4EJ.

theyre sidegrades of each other, personally I much prefer the nearly double effective range the aim9G has

hell no, f4e is already great, kurnass is a plain upgrade. fuck no 11.3 is perfect, also f4e is anything but a brick, late game when youre light on fuel and low on missile it turns into an actual kite
this is completely wrong, 18 vs 20g is almsost irrelevant, what IS relevant is the fact the aim9g has almost double the range of an aim9j

Eh 4+4 9G/7E-2 or 6x 9G and no AIM-7 is nothing too out of place at 11.3 compared to the US F-4E.

Honestly idk maybe its just me but the 9G’s have always been better tracking wise for me than the J’s i dont think theres a difference but ive always loved the 9G’s over the J’s maybe its just a placebo idk

It takes some getting used to, I struggled getting one but now I seem to have no issues since I got used to the radar
sorry to break it to you but 9G is better than 9J so according to your logic the F-4E should be the one to move down to 11.0

yea it has 2G’s less but overall its beating the 9J by a landslide
The only kurnass that should move down is the 2000, that thing at 12.3 is awful.
Back on topic now, the F-4E Kurnass is completely fine at 11.3, It’s one of the better planes at that BR

Just a reminder of what lies at 11.0 and 11.3.
11.3 J8B: 30km non doppler radar, faster MiG-21, 64 LCM, 2+2 of the best IR and radar missile at this BR (PL5B + Aspide)
11.3 F4E: good radar but lacks MTI or PD modes, relatively fast but slightly sloppy, 60CM, 4+4 of pretty standard missiles at BR, 30LCM + 60CM
11.3 JA37C: AIM 7E + AIM9J 2+4, relatively manoeuvrable however slightly slow, nice radar, all aspect PD mode, only 48 LCM, but still usable
11.0 MiG-23M: MTI radar up to 1600m, 2+4 r23 and R60M, fast, less manoeuvrable, could still dog fight with manual wing control with all aspect missiles.
11.0 F-4EJ: Much of the same to American F4E, worse RWR
