Kings of Battle - Rumor Round-Up and Discussion (Part 3)

i come back to the 100 years war starting again so any leaks

Ask you local farmer :P

Still waiting on the French Vampire/FB.51. It’s copy paste so it’s something that I think is a bit goofy for wanting.

The Japanese tree can always use more though, so I can get behind this.

@Fireraid233 @Morvran it seems like radar_target_lock is not for naval:

It uses these icons:

Naval is literally dead, there’s no possible way to recover from this.

that top secret

Radar lock on tanks is interesting but not sure whats new about the plane one.

In that case, we are missing proper Air to Ground radar. Tornado and F-111 for example. I reckon its for that then.

(A total radar overhaul for the Tornado IDS was hinted at like 6 months ago as well)

The icons switch when the opposing function is activated:

Then that is almost certainly for things like F-111 or most helis that have Air to air and air to ground radars and can swap between them. Probably going to be a new annoying floating button at the bottom of the screen to show what mode you are in

so a multi use missile

Less lock from the missile and more lock from the launch platform.

Would be interesting to see if Escargot models it where you can launch Air Missiles at ground.

In that case then : )

Can I say is there anymore progress towards any SAAF aircraft for Britain ?
As some can fill the holes.

As seen now in the Finnish air sub tree, that has now became a mixed of Swedish and Finnish aircraft, could the same be said for SAAF aircraft ?

A quick search on the internet tells me it’s a T.55, which is the export variant of the T.11. It was used by various nations, including Austria, Sweden, Switzerland, South Africa and India.

More details

The T.11 itself is result of a flopped private night fighter venture initiated by De Havilland, the DH.113. Those would been two seaters and would have used a slightly older engine (the initial Goblin instead of the Goblin 2 used on the FB.5 or Goblin 3 on the FB.6 [FB.52/A.28B]) and a early Air Intercept Radar (AI Mk X), which is why the nose is bigger than that on the Vampires we have ingame.
To turn that DH.113 into a trainer they simply took out the radar and added dual controls.

The final version of the T.11 used a Goblin 35 engine, which provides slightly more thrust than the Goblin 3, and mostly the same armament as the Vampires ingame, depending on the operator nation, of course.

If you could thst could open up a lot more bombers for inclusion

Yeah, it’s most likely gonna be another button next to the ones reminding us about target designator and night/thermal vision capabilities
Adding to the F-111, the Su-39 ingame has that seemingly over-engineered Kopyo 25 Radar pod with like 7 modes, including TWS ground tracking and PD ground tracking

I mean, TV-guided Martels could easily be used against tanks lol
