Leclercs in my opinion are only below modern equipment like the K2 and Type 10. It’s simply so expensive that it’s unsustainable for large scale procurement.

eh you mean the MGCS , EMBT was the show of collaboration with leo chassis and a leclerc turret, i hope it starts soon, germany already started another tank project together with italy, sweden and spain, and decided to take in france for now as well, but the french needs to stop bein ecentrique with their stuff

Last I knew Italy, Spain, and Netherlands were signing onto MGCS rather then a possible second development. The money into the KNDS merger would have been a waste if it is.

as far as i am aware the contracts with them were being done seperatly at first including the integration of Leopard, SAAB and the spanish company whose name i always forget. Germany was ready to completly start a new one since collaboration with france isnt going anywhere
Bearing in mind the other items on that list, maybe for naval? Or prehaps its actually meant to be for something like Sonar lock but just called it radar to be lazy?
i never said that, i am saying a new cannon system maybe shouldnt be tested on the new tank system, getting that cannon realy ready might postpone development even further
I just read, the contracts were done collaboratively with France and Germany.
Rheinmetall isn’t even the best. They’re just good at lobbying, which is why the MGCS is so difficult. They shouldn’t even be in the program as a consultant. The Leclerc cannon was the best until Rheinmetall finally decided to make a L/55 gun.

The only other things here in the gui.hud file w/ the name " radar " are the specifics of iconography on the minimap( which is called “radar” internally - confusing I know ).
I can’t really tell if this is an all-new control, or something already in use.
well that is pretty much what happend with the inclusion of italy, sweden and spain. They all are leopard users and need the same of the tank system while france is the outlier
