The Typhoon is a must for Britain and hell it carried 9L’s, so what is the harm of letting Britain be powerful for a couple of updates ?

Yep early DA-1 wasn’t magic. Just some IR missiles we already have in game for years by now (Aim-9L). Better than giving Britain swedish planes via subtree nonsense or Ger has to go two steps back to the good’ol F-4F airframe, while US enjoys the next meta F-XY jet.
PS: Aren’t US mains tired of playing against themselves all the time? With this you’d at least have competition.

Typhoon’s only radar missiles are AMRAAMs.

Meteor and AIM-260s were developed to take on stealth aircraft, and long-range groups.
then we got the same problem as we had with israel, people complaining about no bvr capability which is important now as well, it is no fun when everyone else can outrange you by 10km

But are vastly superior to anything Britain could get otherwise, Sea Harrier FA2 wont stand much chance vs F-15s. We’ve had a year of being 1 full BR behind US/USSR, I really dont see the harm in britain, Italy and Germany being 0.3 BR ahead of US/USSR for a change
I dont know why you think they’ll get the Gripen. Sea Harrier FA2 is 10x more likely than an SA vehicle which has no prescendent.

Gaijins whole basis for giving the F-5C flares is that certain non-US users had it on their F-5Cs so therefore the US one can get them as well despite it never being fitted for it irl.
And it’s really telling how fast and loose they are with that little rule when it comes to what weapons they give aircraft. And overall its genuinely annoying how selective they are with certain things in this game for the sake of “Balance”
