They could be working on the MiG-21-93 and just used the J-7D skin for it, so they didn’t need to model the R-27’s on the J-7D. Unlikely, yes, however until we hear otherwise, it is very much possible.
Yeah if they really wanted to show a MiG-21 firing radar missiles they could’ve used normal Bis with R-3R
I still think F15 is too soon. In part. US would get it too, and theyve gotten loads already and it would be a big next step. I see F15 being part of a big update that brings Su27 and Typhoon at the same time

At this point I think we just have to accept that the US and Russia are just going to get a lot of planes. They made far more than anyone else so it’s inevitable.
What is important is to add the planes that other nations also had in service. Like the F-16A, ADF, F-15s etc. And with appropriate counterparts where possible.

Yeah, but no point massively increasing the gap between major and minor nations any further than it already is just for the sake of not adding a prototype aircraft for japan.
Gaijin ever expressed interest for a South Africa air tree? Just realised an Atlas Cheetah would make for a gpod br 12-ish light fighter for UK. I mean, what else could they get as a light fighter without adding another F-16 where it shouldn’t be.
Yeah, been suggested before, along with SA Gripen. But id rather stick with Native stuff. Can easily be done Sea Harrier FA2 short term followed by Typhoon early next year.

Yeah that could work. I mean, an atlas Cheetah sure would spice things up though. Would be great seeing it in game. Perhaps a nice event vehicle or premium when rank 9 tt is introduced.
Yeah, would make most sense for somthing like the Cheetah to come as a premium. wouldnt fit anywhere in our tree otherwise

I feel like unfortunately due to how the playerbase is spread out, countries like China will be forced to follow the lead in terms of capabilities instead of be a trend setter🥲.

China doesn’t need to be a trendsetter; it can just have rough equivalents added with or shortly after the big two and it will quite easily be one of the best nations for air.

100% I’m not going to pretend aircraft have been missed out unfortunately but I expect (hope for) big things when we start seeing J-11 and eventually J-10(fingers crossed).

South Africa has not introduced BVR missiles, so early model EF Typhoon seems more reasonable than the South African Gripen.

Britian would still use Typhoon DA2. Germany, Italy and Britain would have fairly equal access to all the prototype variants as they were co developed.
As for placement, it could either be after Tornado F3 as the Typhoons are excellent QRA interceptors and early versions had limited multirole. But could also be placed after FGR2 as well. Later Variants like the Typhoon FGR4 would most likely end up in the FGR2 line being multi-role, unless they wanted to keep all the Typhoons togethers. In which case they could end up in either.
