India is not connected to Great Britain as Australia, Canada or South Africa are.
Since the South African ground vehicles are in the British tech tree already aircraft would be resonable.
Especially Gripen might fit two holes where a 4th gen Jet is lacking.
Britain did lease Gripen for testing btw.

Not just russian ERA but ERA in general shouldn’t perform better than NERA or composite armor
