Does the EX actually have better thermals?, the spanish version does use second gen for the gunner but iirc they are from Raytheon, i think that it is the same for the hel, but im not sure about the EX itself.

That doesn’t really specify. Could mean base 2A7, but could as well mean a 2A7 variant.
I’m not really sure. I’m mostly going off what I remember seeing other people argue, but of course my memory could be way off.
So far it looks bad reward wise and if the tank reward is gonna be that US rocket tank then easy pass on this one.
For A6EX, yes. Leopard 2A6 EX uses OPHELIOS Gen 2 thermal imager for gunner.

Ah yes, a super heavy tank built in one prototype (if you can call just tracks with engine and weight added a prototype) that failed even driving(suspension broke down), never had its proposed gun/any gun mounted.
This js literally worse than if soviet mains would be asking for Object 187, one of its version with new style for UFP with 1500 hp turbine engine. Basically more armoured and faster T-90. Also with unique (for ussr era tanks) gun and APDSFS developed specifically for it.
Im personally fine with prototypes being added as long as they were at least made and as long as they wouldnt be game breaking. Oh and ofc they should not be same fairy tail level as Panther 2 and Tiger 2 105, or Flakpanzer 341.

EF Typhoon Radar is the best PD radar that is mass produced

As far as I know, China’s old J-10A has been replaced with AESA radar
He basically said that 2A7 is too advanced for now but T-90M is possible.
The 2A6EX still had gen 1 gunner thermals, the 2A7V has gen 3 the for gunner and commander. Both should have better armour than the Strv 122, the 2A7V having better armour than the 2A6EX as well.
AESA is much faster at finding targets since the array its a lot faster to scan than that of the PESA and every country has started to use AESA on everything and now they are starting to put it in fighter jets, wich should make radar missiles absolutely insane for tracking targets without getting countered, also something funny japan has missiles with mini AESA radars in them i think they were the AAM-4 if im not wrong, yeah it does

I find it hard to believe the prophecy that ‘AESA radar is OP and this will lead to the end of Air RB meta’.
in war thunder i dont think its ready yet since it needs a lot of features to be added and would need a lot of changes done to radar missiles and how radar works in general, plus we have vehicles that can do something similar but that are not insanely op, unless the broken weaponry gets added AESA radar cant break the game as of right now, it may be insanely annoying to fight since missiles can now be countered by this type of radar due to the fact it can lock really tiny targets including missiles and drones
I know it’s off topic but I should mention that I’ve written up a report for the F-16C / Barak II missing their HMD radar Slaving (with a primary source) and I’d appreciate any support you guys could provide to get it fixed.
