US and USSR mains never accept that answer and they get something top tier every update. Wouldn’t be too much to ask to get something once per year. Our last top tier aircraft was Gr7 a year ago and before that FGR2 in 2019.
Thing is: adding Hornet to USA wouldn’t really introduce any new capabilities to them. Its the same as F16C. Maybe some more payload options, so closer to MiG29SMT
I don’t think USA receiving hornet, would do anything to push their powercreep. It more just gives them a variety, which i’m all for.
For Britain, it would be a game changer.

Personally, between the choice of Gripen or CF-18, I’d be CF-18 all the way. Canada feels far closer to home and inline with Britian than SAAF

F-18 and F-16 are pretty comparable actually.
F16 is designed as a dogfighter and AMRAAM platform, with the 9G pulls, high speed, insane handling and weight.
F-18 is designed for carrier ops, so its heavier, designed as a standoff BVR machine, can hold its own in a dogfight, and has AIM 7s incase AMRAAMs arent added.
Both have:
CCIP/RP
Helmet sight systems
Digital FCS
Good radar
AIM-7 capability
Multirole for CAS too
AIM9 missiles
Onboard guns
They’re essentially the same, minus a few specialities.

Really? Please give me ONE example of Britain, my main nation, being in anyway “biased”? We have been systematically neglected and nerfed. Imagine if the best aircraft in your air TT was the Mig-23MLD and that was all you’d recieved in the past 2 years to fight the F-16C and Mig-29 and you might begin to imagine how selfish you sound right now
