Kings of Battle — Answering your questions from the dev server

Yea it desperately needs it.
MILAN is the worst ground based ATGM in game apart from Type 60 and the HVAP struggles to pen even some light tank sides if slightly angled.

Reading skills, zero. Good job.

Is there any source to this assumption that FIM-92 and Mistral must function on the Rolling Airframe Missile flight principle and not a traditional one like AIM-9 or Magic I? These systems are not derivative of SA-16 and feature significant differences in their advertised performance.

If FIM-92 and Mistral do not fly using the Rolling Airframe Missile principle, then it should be clearly evident that the increase in performance relative to SA-16 (a notorious user of Rolling Airframe Missile flight principle) is due to an inherently different design.

A cursory search on images of SA-16 vs Mistral vs FIM-92 show that SA-16 has fixed and permanently angled canards to induce roll along with radial gas ports for the same purpose. FIM-92 and Mistral do not have angled canards or radial gas ports.

Hello! curious if there’s any update on the Leclerc’s LWS system there has been several bug reports and have been acknowledged and passed to the devs. Just curious if we could possibly expect anything this update for them?

1.- Make tech tree atrocious.

2.- People who main said tree end up having to get good at maining said tree. Because tree atrocious.

3.- Refuse to make tech tree less atrocious/half decent/at least average. Because players good.← You are Here.

Just 5W1H, 5 Why and Ishikawa diagram the issue.

It’s not just about the aircraft’s performance, but why it’s performing that well at that specific point in time and how it used to perform before compared to it’s equivalents. Also what that aircraft has/has not compared to it’s equivalents.

Or not I guess, there is a special kind of satisfaction to whacking 4-4.5 gen aircraft in 2nd hand Phantoms I guess.

every brit main play you fgrs and immediately die and do this over and over again so it can get buffed

Alright omw o7

Hang on, just had a sudden thought, Does this mean the Tornado F3 and Tornado Gr1 Both 11.3s, are moving down to Rank 7? Would be a big boost for many when it comes to the Grind.

(would have been Gr7 too but that got 9Ms instead of a BR decrease)

tornado f3 clearly needs to be rank VIII as it is a very strong brick

I assume the Tornado F.3 will remain at rank 8 since it is supposed to receive AMRAAMs

Maybe… Most are expecting and hoping for a second Tornado F3 to be added. That way we keep the Current 11.3 one which does okay at its current BR and then get a second F3 that would be a later variant with Aim-9M/Aim-9L/i/ASRAAM and AMRAAM and some other upgrades too, like data link and a slightly better radar (software upgrades)

I really dont know how the Hunter F.6 is at the same BR as the Swiss Hunter, it has worse missiles, and lacks flares with the same airframe, it should go to 9.3 cause id say its about equal with the FGA.9 even if the FGA has worse flight performance, the 9Es are much better for air RB than the SRAAM, Ie, actually having some range, hell even if the hunter F.6 looses the SRAAM and moves to 9.3 id still call that a win

SRAAM is literally useless. There is no point even taking it. The F.6 is an awful plane at it’s current BR due to what it faces.

Flames do not have shadows, however smoke should

yeah i have to agree, as a harrier GR.1 player of around 400 matches, when your close enough to shoot them they are always flared, plus your slower than everyone else so its not like you can chase them down

And you’re a brick too, everything with SRAAMs is a slow brick (literally the purpose of SRAAMs)

I mean, Hawker did advertise them as a potential missile to be used on other airframes, such as the Phantom, Jaguar and Tornado, considering those go a bit faster I feel like the SRAAMs could get closer to being actually useful on those.
It would be hard to get gaijin to add those missiles to more vehicles tho, I guess

I feel like that is evidence enough considering we have several instances of things in game being speculation or possibility. The Yak-141 for example was never armed or given radar or IRST if I recall correctly. Same goes for the Barak II and F-16C carrying sparrows, it can be done but never was. In the case of the Saraph, I’m sure these spikes have been mounted before and the fact that the company that created them claims it’s been done should be sufficient. Sometimes I feel Gaijin holds certain vehicles or nations to different standards than others

Shall tag @hjnbnb and @KhorneFlakez1337 in this too

Yeah, SRAAMs are real tragedy at the moment. I spent a good chunk of 2022 in the Harrier Gr1 and it was awesome. SRAAMs slapped everything, and then the broke them to point of uselessness. But they are not only broken, but missing all aspect and about half their effective range. Once that comes, Both aircraft are going to slap again.

though I would love to see them on more stuff. but I think the only one that has any serious hope getting them is the Jaguar, but would be cool on other stuff too.

Its kinda stupid they commented on the 9L on the Phantoms but not on the state of Red Tops or SRAAMs

Sometimes it’s not about standards its about balance. I can understand their concerns with balance in this case, though I still think it should be added. 3 patches of spikes, 4 vehicles, and not one missile for Israel is shameful.
