i find it extremely annoying when i risk MY life to peek and disable a enemy only for my teamate who took none of the risk to take all of the reward
I think there should be some form of severe damage or some kind of anti kill steal
if you disable a tanks mobility (both tracks or engine) and their ability to shoot (Canon barrel or breech) it should be your kill if they die to someone else in that state
If you want to create a suggestion for changing things in the game you can do so in the suggestion section here on the forum. That section is however pre-moderated and only posts that follow their rules and guidelines will get posted and it can take a couple of weeks for a post to get reviewed for publication. If it gets accepted and made public it then has a chance to get sent to the developers as a suggestion later on.

There is no kill steal: Your team’s objective is to eliminate your enemy. You don’t “own” a kill just because you started damaging it, it’s a team effort.
I also find it annoying when other players steal my kills while I’m running a shower.
If you really want that kill then one-shot it.
I think the severe damage mechanic is far more valuable in arb than it would be in ground as in arb there are limited players to kill, but in ground with respawns kills are not in short supply

I only consider “kill stealing” a thing in air, ground and naval are different, a plane will not repair it’s wing or re-attach it’s tail.
A tank or ship could at any point finish repairing, or in the case of a tank replace the gunner or switch to commander fire control, and start killing people again, they are not dead and remain a threat until they are completely dead.
You still get SL and RP for the modules you destroyed as well as the assist.
The notional “kill stealer” also has no way of knowing how much damage the first hit caused.
If it makes OP feel better, think of it as they are trying to save you from the baddie, not steal your kill.

that is a terrible idea, because tanks can repair. With such mechanic in play people with just leave such tanks and they will repair, then someone shoots a fully repaired tank and does not get a kill? Not to mention ir would create chaos and even more attempts to kill steal. Dumb idea, want a kill - one shot someone, simple as that.
I think a version of the severe damage mechanic could be implemented for ground RB.
It could give severe damage and credit you with a kill if you destroy certain modules and the enemy player is destroyed by another player before that damage is repaired. For example, the barrel or breach would be a good candidate for this, or transmission on casemate TDs, maybe transmission in combination with turret rotation mechanism. It would be possible… but just like the severe damage mechanic for air it would have flaws
