The Russo-Ukrainian war has had very little tank on tank combat, so you can’t measure performance in game to irl conditions.

To be fair, but this a small nitpick, the M1A2 is not from the 2000s like you said in that thread. The M1A2 is from 1992.
The SEPv1 is 1999 and iirc the SEPv2 is 2006 (or 2008).

Barely going positive in US top tier MBTs isn’t what I would call the pinacle of skill. Hell barely going more than even is what I would consider average.
I have played Russian, German, USA, France, China, Sweden, and Italy.
Italy is by far the worst.
The best ground is Germany.

Most of the equipment was second line, or close to retirement, or doesn’t have it’s service life upgrades. Sure there’s modern stuff like storm shadow, the new air defence in a container etc, The stuff Russia is facing is, by and large with some notable exceptions, older equipment yes.

I mean, that is their stated goal. You don’t try and thunder run the capital (regadless how unprepared they were, they tried and failed in a miles long logisitcal traffic jam and because of some incredibly brave soldiers at hostomel) without that being your intention.

Ukraine still holds parts of Kursk. Every inch russia gains is paid for in catastrophic losses. The actions you see from Russia are not what you see from a ‘winning’ army. They’ve gotten themselves stuck in a war they just cannot remove themselves from with top leadership maintaining their position. Rather than winning, we are witnessing the real time degredation of the Russian army.

Yes, SU34 is such an problem…
I had a game, where our team EF smacked total of 15 or 16 kills total, WITHOUT landing a one time…
And it was against Soviet team, that thing ate pantsirs like nothing, and roamed quite freely, and yes he took also sky clear with 120’s soon as enemy jet spawned.
So yes, I truly believe that SU34 is biggest threat in air on ground games, while having airframe of a bus, and 6 missiles.
