I’ve recently checked that everytime somebody create a post talking about Russia, the same people show up every damn time, is it a coincidence or they target these posts.

I dont have implict issue with SAL-only as a short-term stopgap for the quantity advantage (though lets face it, we’ll be stuck with SAL only for at least the next year or 2) but what makes me really mad is that we only have Brimstone 1s.
SAL-Only Brimstone 2s would have been far fairer and they could have even maintained Brimstone 2s being SAL-only alongside MMW Brimstone 1s in the future. It would have been fine. But nerf ontop of a nerf. Just sucks. Especially given IOG hasnt been removed from the KH-38 (or AASM)

Dual use brimstones are only brimstone one iirc, if you have docs proving its both the full send my guy.
You would also have to rip TGPs off every multirole plane for fairness aswell.

Brimstone 2, 3 and even Spear-3s maintained the dual-mode seeker.
Then go prove it, im not a suggestion mod.
Its only fair if were ripping out functionality and armaments to create a level playing field like in Константинович7’s example. Im not saying or advocating actually doing it. Its also why I dont get behind the whole making stuff up for balance like the brimstone crowd consistently want done.

But you can also just use your common sense. Brimstone 1 was given the laser seeker to provide the weapon a “man-in-the-loop” capability. It would be stupid to remove that capability from its replacement/upgraded version.

- make it loft more aggressively

Quite solid “second best” imo, and completely busted against anything other than pantsir, although even pantsir struggles a lot against those to be fair

Right. The AASM is the only AGM that comes even close, while being dramatically easier to counter due to being much slowerand having a giant snail trail behind it for much longer.
Does USA even have similar supersonic missiles? Or is the closest we can get to being hard to shoot down stealthy missiles like JASSM and glide bombs like JSOW?
Using AGM65D compared to using KH38 feels like a Roman soldier against an F16.

sounds totally fair and unbiased that a missile built by one of the best defence corporations in the world is significantly worse than the one designed by russia only a few years later.
Im all for critiquing the french but they have good tech, Russia was buying military equipment from them before their SMO in ukraine after all

The main “”““counter””“” to AASM is the fact that your target might be dead by the time the missile arrives
That problem is almost non existent on KH. Other than that, it’s a bit easier to intercept indeed, but not everyone can (RIP US, UK, Israel, Italy and Japan)

Also, I rarely see anyone playing France, and when I do, its a few to a team. Meanwhile entire teams can be made up of Soviets. So the likelyhood of at least 1 KH-38 slinger, let alone mutliple is much higher than encountering a Rafale or M2KD RMV
