Yeah maybe not the full cost, maybe like 2400. But then again, I would honestly take that over a nuke
i cant promise 100% but i thought they said it was coming. either it is a problem with what i remember, or i remember correctly.
Just have 6x Brimstone equal the SP cost of any other FnF AGM. And then have the SP cost increase for each extra hardpoint you take, with the full 18 costing around the 2000 SP mark.
That way the quantity advantage is mitigated heavily, but you dont end up with stupid things like only being able to take 6x FnFs in all gamemodes.
Could also be used to balance KH-38s with each 2 taken increasing the cost slightly.
Im just thinking how to deploy a multi vehicle Patriot System on on a typical GRB map. Like Facotry^^ Lets be realistic, the maps are too small and even if its a bigger one, it will be difficult to deploy this without getting sniped by MBTs. A truck like Flarak Rad is already hard to hide and tanks permanently try to sniper your radar dish.
maybe added in some other point of map and destroyable only by planes or helis
It was here
Yeah I agree with this except for the fact that the brimstone is quite bad at the moment, you CAN get a high number of kills if you try really hard though
i remember someone else having screenshotted a smaller text where it was "more"confirmed
could also have been someone bullsh*tting.
thats how it should be. want a lot of kills? gotta try really hard. shouldnt be easy.
Yeah… Though the short range nature of them can be fixed by replacing them with Brimstone 2s (Which the Typhoons should have not the 1s) and the warheads being a little hit and miss is an issue with all AGMs aiming for centre mass, with the overhauls to how FnF weapons hit naval targets, I wonder if something similar could work with tanks
Not that I recall seeing, or at least remember seeing
Yep, except for the fact that the su30/34 can just click 6 times to get similar or better results.
No one would have any problems with keeping laser lock if everybody else had balanced CAS too
Do all of us a favor, type “KH-38” into the forum search bar and use any one of those numerous threads. We don’t need another cope post every 15 seconds.
regardless the way it is worded "we will move towards heavier systems including several chassis … " seems like it is definetly confirmed while the way of controlling these vehicles is what they are having thoughts on, the implementation
confirmed being added
unconfirmed of how their control will be implemented
This would be likely the only way. I’d also like if this small ground map concept might be entirely abandoned. One reason Suchoi CAS is so hyper op is simply the fact that all vehicles are locked inside a tiny ground area, which is easy to observe with a thermal target pod. Its like one view angle and you know where everyone is. Especially AA units are easily taken out this way. Imagine you simply might drive away from the objectives and position youself in the hinterland. Whereever you like on the [full] map.
Yeah, thats big warhead vs tiny warhead problems.
KH-38 has a warhead 3x that of an AGM-65 and AGM-65 can sometimes not kill.
Brimstone is 1/5th the size of an AGM-65. So no wonder that centre mass hits dont always kill. Though i do also think the Tandem warhead on the brimstone/soviet ERA vs tandem charges isnt right
Im not worried about if they are added. At this point, they really odnt have any other choice.
My main concern is when, and who.
There are certainly options for some better SPAA than what we’ve already got that doesnt necessarily require multi vehicle platforms. But none have come. Leaving nations like Israel and Italy with basically nothing at top tier and US, Britain and Japan with pretty weak options.
with Pantsir added 3 years ago now, that is rather annoying
something something
(example)
maybe some nations will receive older multi vehicle sams and israel receiving significantly more potent single vehicle sam
or both
or something else.
Im guessing soviets will get something first, probably followed by Germany and the US. Leaving the other 7 nations waiting for the next 1-3 major updates to get equivalents.
