Kh-38 got big buff (hipocrisy) and SPAA effectivness

zunis and ccrp is nothing compared to kh38
so are these 3/4 JDAMs / paveways
you can literally shoot these kh38s from airfield and instantly rearm
its the amount of spam you can do with kh38 gnss that is the problem
even multiple SPAA wont be able to intercept that
also adding new features to a missile that should be partially removed from the game is cringe

GNSS is not the buff for Kh-38 you think it is.
The better GPS guided loadout, and as safe to use as well:

@WalletWarrior69
You can shoot all GPS guided munitions from safety. Your argument is not new, it’s just repackaged.

All your posts [Wallet] doing here is defending Kh-38 with the arguments people used for GROM-1 [which is inferior to GROM-2], and GROM-2, GBU-31, etc.

just watch the video I sent, dude fires kh38 barely off the ground
spawns in at 0:07 and kh38 fired at 0:16
that is 9 seconds from spawn to firing
lands at 1:00 (44 seconds to land, could be much faster)
53 seconds from spawn to landing
there is no way this is inferior to a gliding bomb.
he fired them flying 280km/h and when they impacted they had 0.85 mach

Warhead size is the primary thing that matters for GPS munitions except against SPAA.
Also you can do the same exact tactic in Rafale faster because of its superior TWR and generally lower weight for better braking.

“But the Hammer is slower.” contradicts the argument:

Every <53 seconds between Hammer volleys is the same difference in time as any other munition.
You shouldn’t have made that argument cause ripple fire reload is not new, and has been used for years.

Kh-38s in GPS mode are still hilariously inferior to Kh-38MTs, AGM-65Ds, and IR Hammers for multi-targeting.
Single-point launching is not OP. Just move.
It’s like saying Tornado IDS with its 12 1000 pound bombs are OP at 10.3 just cause they can be dropped safely.
Or Mig-23BN with FAB-500s and FAB-250Ms at 9.7.
Or IL-28 in China, Germany, Italy, USSR at 7.7 because it has 8 FAB 250s, 4 FAB 500s, or a FAB 3000.

GPS guided munition has less dispersion over standard bombs.

good luck moving your multiple vehicle system every 50 seconds because a russian brainlet spams kh38 on you
and you cant even intercept it because you will run out of ammo

Rafale, Typhoon, F-15E, Tornado, F–15I, F-16C/D, Gripen, Mirage 2000D RMV, J-11B, etc are not new nor Russian contrary to your post’s implications, and could’ve been using your tactic [I know it’s not your tactic; I’ve been using these tactics in DCS longer than War Thunder has had GPS guided bombs] since day 1 yet have only done it a couple times, and no times in my matches.

Kh-38MT is OP on live server, and more powerful than GPS guided munitions ever could be.

The tactic is not new, and no where close to common.
Though it might get attempted more because SPAA is being improved so much that less effective methods of CAS might be attempted for Spawn Point savings.

Edit:

Hill popping is going to be the new strategy CAS will have to employ due to new SPAA.
This will see more people using GPS, and laser munitions with IOG and/or GNSS as backup.
It will require a new skill set to be effective without dying to SPAA.

The era of IR AGMs being OP is coming to a close.

Time will tell if GPS guidance which has currently been rarely used in ground matches is potent or not.
Based on limited experience, and tactics required, I believe GPS guidance will be semi-effective but not OP as any mistake will get launched on.

last time I checked kh38 slingers were immune to new IRIS, did it change?

Is this rocket assisted? Because this is a free fall guided bomb! You need to take of and fly relatively high to make them arrive on target!

SLM got heavily buffed in range for dev.
SLAMRAAM and Spyder obviously exist as well.

@LoSpilotoITA
Bomb lobbing is something done in DCS at low altitude behind hills for safety, and something I’ve done a couple times in War Thunder myself.
Safety without needing range.

If one side is assumed to have a jet spawned, it’s only fair to assume other side has one as well. Game doesn’t stop anyone from spawning a jet.

Russia always regularly have jets first, they spawn a 2S38 cap a point/get a kill and then spawn a fully loaded Su-30/34

No they really can’t.
All current AAs struggle to counter FnF helicopters, let alone jets.

No one stops you from doing exactly the same.

That’s true except Britain dont have a good light tank and a Typhoon can’t defeat half a team on it’s own.

This isn’t RU vs UK, there are 8 other nations with some great light tanks and planes.
If KH-38 spammers are resorted to airfield camping and spamming, people should naturally start spawning more CAP of their own to farm those easy kills.

Man, one thing is taking off and toss bombing another thing is doing it from the airport! If you take off and exit from the airport AA coverage you can be intercepted by another aircraft, if you sling the Kh-38 from 10 meters above your airport nothing can counter you!

This is just not true, GNSS bombs need to be lobbed and because of that have a shallow angle of attack which makes it easy to spot and intercept. This is also taking into the fact they are bombs which travel very slow.

The Hammer fixes some of these problems however they are slow which results into spaa having no issue with intercepting them.

The KH38 fixes all these problems and the only downside is from how gnss functions. With a teammate feeding your coordinates of static targets, you can reliably hit them. where as with other gnss munitions, there is a high chance of it either missing, or getting intercepted.

We’ll have to see how effective it is once the live server gets updated, but from doing testing with friends on custom servers, it has really great potential.

You don’t need to tell me that, I’m fighting for TO mode for years now and I pretty much want to enjoy tanks without any aerial pests as much as anyone else.

I’m just telling you how the game works as of now, so if they’re spawning planes to camp and spam missiles from their airfield, you spawn a plane of your own to sweep them up and get easy kills. Once they get clubbed like that too many times, they might stop doing it altogether.

im just gonna play air rb.
