So what’s with the Lynx only getting 4 Spikes in total? Most of the time Spikes don’t hit targets and when they do you need at least two to kill a enemy unless its a light tank. There’s plenty of room in the Lynx to add more then just 2 extras. The Freccia is pretty much the same thing just on a faster chassis but it has 8 spikes.
If it comes down to it getting bumped up in BR, its pretty much already fighting 11.0 vehicles so it wouldn’t change much.
What do you all think of this issue?
I think overall amount of spikes should be increased to 8 spikes for all IFVs at the moment due to the Freccia getting 8 at 10.3.

The Namer RCWS-30 also has this problem, and it has even more empty space than this tank. What sucks even more is the Namer RCWS-30 can’t carry any 30mm ammo in the hull, so once it’s shot out it’s game over.
I propose changing the spike counts on the following:
Namer RCWS-30 4 → 10/12 (Spike-LR II missile)
KF-41 4 → 8 (Spike-LR II missile)
Puma VJTF. 4 → 8/10 (Spike-LR II missile)
Vilkas 4 → 8 (Spike-LR II missile)
QN506 4 → 8/10 (QN502CDD missile)
I mean, if the Freccia can have 8 Spike-LR IIs, I don’t see why these vehicles can’t also have more spikes, especially while the spike guidance and damage is in such a completely useless state…
(I personally suggest adding a poll to your post, asking players if they think the overall spike missile count should be increased across the board for most vehicles.
They act as if the Spike is some OP missile but its almost like using I-TOWs in top tier. The only real use I have for them is taking out helicopters which even then is not a confirmed kill.
At least this update it now’s pulls 50% more Gs, so might hit targets more often (upgraded from 4Gs → 6Gs ingame). But yeah, even then it ain’t a guaranteed kill, however the new damage models could change that!
I agree, they should either buff the spikes (might be a bad idea to add fire and forget missles with a higher lethality rate) or add more spikes to vehicles. Because at the moment, the kf41 and the PUMA VJTF are unusable at 10.7
Yeah Freccia didn’t get eight because of no reasons but because It actually has supports in the hull for additional spikes while KF41, puma, vilkas, namer and QN has Spikes only in the Launchers as far as I know. So compare all these veichles with the Freccia doesn’t make sense, as Freccia has an actual Number of Spikes while these veichles has an hipotetical One (going with the same logic freccia should get, what, 18 Spikes?). I do agree that veichles like the previous mentioned ifv should get more than 2 spikes because it’s teorically possible but You shouldn’t be asking for more as You alredy got more spikes than You should have.
In the state the KF41 Lynx is in, they should go straight down with the BR as long as they can’t solve the spike problem. The same for every tank that use spikes as well.
There’s not really anything that show in the vehicle a specific place for the two that are in it which shows that its pretty much stacked in the back along with the extra ammo.
Yet they keep talking about balancing so what would it hurt to give the other IFVs to be balanced with the Freccia. I’m not saying the Freccia should get less but it shows not really anyone has issues using because it gets so many spikes.
Yeah but what I wanted to’ point out Is that Freccia doesn’t get more spikes for no reasons as You intended in the Initial message. Also next patch Freccia will got two more spikes (for a max of 10) since it’s report was passed and Smin confirmed It some days ago on the CM covert.
Is there any reports/proof of any of these even getting extra in the back like is has now? Cause if there isn’t it shows that you wouldn’t need reports to increase the amount of spikes.
That’s what they pretty much what they did already. The whole point is that if they could, why would it be a issue to make them more balanced cause some of the IFVs are fighting top tier vehicles which spikes already have issues killing let alone the auto cannons on the IFVs trying to kill the MBTs.
Unfortunately this information is classified or unavailable for nearly all spike carriers present ingame, except the Freccia it seems.
Currently all spike counts ingame are estimated, and I see no reason as to why that estimate can’t be higher.
