Poland is not a subnation of Britain. Their vehicles are present in different trees as well.
I think for the least controversial i’d say Germany should get it, why? Because Poland have them and we already have Polish vehicle in German tree so it’d be great for Germany to be the first nation to get the K2BP(it’s also a cat like the German tanks[jk]). Germany does have good tanks but since of 2024 the Leopard 2 had spread to many countries(France, Italy, and sweden already had them for a while. Which are the same, or better [strv122, 2A7HU. in terms of armor& mobility and offence]). So it’d be a great addon for Germany to have smth new.
As for gaijin they wont make the 2A7’s hull armor correct and the PUMA’s being too high of a br, no high to toptier other vehicles Germany has. So currently there’s not a much of a reason/no reason to get(grind) Germany beyond rank 5 anymore unless they add smth new like the K2BP.

Also why are you calling it the K2BP, if you mean the K2PL the tank hasn’t even finished the drawing board yet, so far Poland only has the K2GF to offer.

Poland is acquiring a total of 1,000 K2 Black Panther tanks from South Korea. This includes:
180 tanks from the initial contract (delivered between 2022 and 2025, with 84 received as of late 2024).
820 K2PL tanks, a customized version, to be produced in Poland starting in 2026, with completion expected by 2034.
I’d love to see S. Korean MBTs in the game. :) I even hope to see the entire Korean TT come out someday, even though it will have a bunch of Patten variants in Cold War-era Rank before the K1 prototype.
As I’m grinding Israel TT rn, I really envy Israel that they can get a chance to play many vehicles that their nation used, also enjoying their own variants of Pattens and Centurions, since they look very cool with a bunch of ERAs or spaced armor XD
At least, if there are a bunch of similar vehicles that were also used from other nations, then I think it would be easier to grind bc of the experience played in the past!
This is illogical. Germany got 2PL because they worked on it together with Poland.
the 2PL is a rheinmetall developed revolution kit. A private venture of rheinmetall. They didnt work together with rheinmetall on it, they only ordered it to their specifications since the kit is flexible with what u can add. The only things they might have worked on is radio and such implementation.
The later 2PL variant upgraded by polen was a polish venture as well and rheinmetall was not involved anymore
Both sides worked on it. It was an upgrade to the Polish Leopard 2A4 fleet. Parts were sent to Bumar then Bumar upgraded the Leopards to the 2PL. Both sides worked on it.
Installed it maybe.
But no hands in development. Its not realy having worked together on the kit .poland just uses it. That what installing includes

Poland had a hand in it. Mainly for the bad reasons but still. It was the Polish decision to not strengthen the suspension and not get additional armor on the hull.
Its a flexible kit like i said. You can partialy purchase it. Singapore thailand all ordered different variants as well with less or more armor.
And even then didnt order the full kit like it was shown off.
They purchased and installed them.
But they didnt work onbthe Revolution kit.
The revolution kit is a rheinmetall private venture.
None of tjose countries had a hand in its development.

We didn’t buy the whole upgrade because it was not worth it, we upgraded our gap filler filler fleet of 2a4’s to make them more competitive in today’s battle field, getting back on topic of the the K2 here, we didn’t upgrade it fully because we are planning to retire the leopard platform as soon as we get enough of M1’s and K2’s.

Today in Warsaw, a meeting was held between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and his Slovak counterpart Robert Kaliniak. Both politicians signed a letter of intent for closer cooperation in the arms industry. The Slovak’s had expressed in the Polish variant of the K2, the K2PL
“This is a very important element that should give a huge boost to the Polish arms industry. We need to reach an agreement with the Korean side as soon as possible and start production of the Polonized version of the K2, because it is this version that interests our partners from Slovakia, not the standard Korean version,” said the head of the Polish Ministry of National Defense.
We might hopefully see the K2PL leave the paper phase faster, possibly seeing a subvariant of the tank just for the Slovak’s, who are currently looking for a new MBT for their army.

they gave up on the 2a8 because they were to broke and looked to the cv90120 instead
i highly doubt the K2 could still come to close to the price of a cv90120

I can’t be so sure about the K2PL, but from a quick look over the internet a standard K2 Black Panther unit costs around $8.5 Million, while the latest version of the CV90120 cost’s €11.5 million per unit, of course the question is how much will the K2PL cost? And what does it have that the Slovak’s are so interested in that they specifically want the Polish version?

in that case i think the K2Pl propably capability wise is a good bit worse then i expected honestly.
Maybe great for its price range, but i never expected it to be so low
The newest 2a8 is reaching 30m euros and thats with well established production lines etc and so on
