well in that case colour me suprised…
in that case i think the K2Pl propably capability wise is a good bit worse then i expected honestly.
Maybe great for its price range, but i never expected it to be so low
The newest 2a8 is reaching 30m euros and thats with well established production lines etc and so on
Now we know for sure K2 armor features heavily SiC ceramic tiles. 300 Of these to be exact and their approximate dimensions. We also know which company is producing them:
supposedly the contract is to be signed soon(up im hearing that since october last year), at least that’s what people who have previously defined the terms of contracts well (e.g. Borsuk IFV) say. As for the appearance of the vehicle, the only certainty is that it is to have reinforced turret sides and is not to exceed 62 tons, which is strange considering the purchases of Abrams or the previously proposed version with 7 road wheels and a significant addition of reactive armor on the sides, and since our authorities have already insisted on 6 road wheels, it will probably end with cosmetics. Earlier, there was information about the suspension from Ponar, which turned out to be untrue. Let’s just hope that everything else will work out. I mean here the domestic armor of the Pangolin era. Besides, the fact that the place of production changed from WZM to Bumar is strange. Edit: also i hope that it will use MTU (instead of domestic Korean one) which we are already can service due to having Leo2 tanks
No, the main idea just comes from it being geographically close and people assuming Korea, Japan and China love eachother because they’re geographically close.
The K2 can be located in a few tech trees, as the K2 has had variations designed for Poland (K2PL), Norway (K2NO amd yes I know they went for the Leopard 2A7 instead) and the Middle East (K2ME) such as UAE or SA meaning that nations such as Sweden (Norway) or even something like Germany (Poland).
And with the deals with Rafael, Israel could also receive the K2 tank, maybe as the K2ME?
