Just another Post about the Namer's side armor being obviously wrong

This is the Namer’s side armor package in real life.

And this is how it’s represented in game.

The Namer is the heaviest and most heavily armored APC in service. It has proved itself time and time again to withstand warheads even up to Kornet level. While it’s true that side armor is usually weaker than the front protection, no sane person can honestly believe that the Namer’s side is incapable of stopping a WW2 Bazooka or Panzerfaust.

Low Rank HEAT shells are capable of punching through this thing’s side armor. That’s not correct.

I really wish more common sense would be used when modeling Israeli vehicles. This is just shameful.

just a question does it really matter if it won’t meet the two weapons you mentiond and when the weapons used against are around 2x to 3x more powerful and 2x-5x times the size

I regularly get hit by HEAT shells at that BR, which the armor should be able to stop. The vehicle was designed with Anti-HEAT in mind, but it can’t stop even 100mm of HEAT penetration reliably.

The 100mm composite can’t even stop an M22 either.

You can see how this is a problem, right?

just and Example the panzer faust explosive mass 1.6 kg (3.5 pounds) compared to the Schneider 155mm howitzer explosive shell mass 7.65kg

well I also just think the M22 is overpowerd cause it can pen an abrams as well and remember that armor thing it’s self also says not totally accurate pen.

The Abrams doesn’t have 100mm COMPOSITE SLABS COVERING ITS SIDE

The Namer DOES.

This comes from Wiki so I do not trust completly. A Kornet missile’s 10-pound warhead can punch through more than 1.000 mm of armor behind ERA. On 4 September 2023, a video emerged from Robotyne which showed the first combat loss of the Challenger 2 tank.

The Israeli Namer uses the same armor as the Merkava IV. SLERA, the armor in question, has proven itself able to withstand Kornets. While not the most consistent, it’s still possible.

In-game, neither the Merkava IV or the Israeli Namer can even stop one frontally.

The side of the Namer can’t even stop HEAT shells found at WW2 BR’s. That’s dumb.

Israeli composite is less effective than Rubber Fabric Screens as well.

Don’t get me wrong i love Isrealie tanks so not hating I just adapted to deal with that stuff

Also they can not get 100% accurate vehicles.

I am plenty capable with them as they stand, and I believe the Namer is one of the best vehicles tier for tier in the game, but that does not change the fact that it’s wrong and they know it. The Merkava’s armor has been acknowledged for almost a year.

This is getting stupid.

They can model them close to their actual self, but the Namer and Merkava both have incorrect weight.

The Namer in-game shouldn’t even have side skirts. It goes to show how little they even looked at it.

hey it’s a game nothing will be perfect something will be wrong lets just be glad it’s as good as you say IRL and protects the soldiers.

A game, sure, which is why I’m showing them they’re wrong by using common sense and public information. When issues this blatant and known are a problem for almost 3 years, it’s annoying.

I don’t think you are getting my point. Just enjoy the game

I cannot enjoy the game when my 12.0 vehicle cannot stop any 10.0 APFSDS shells frontally.

Also I have not notice any actual perfomenc problems with mekrva with the wrong weight thing.

Wrong Weight, Missing OTT, Wrong Armor Modifiers, Wrong Armor Classification, Vehicle’s ammunition can be detonated by fires despite them being in fireproof containers isolated from the crew, roof armor can’t stop Interwar AP shells, etc etc etc.

yeah and sometimes the Abrams racks in the turret don’t work like they are supposed to via blowing the top off and the crew being protected.
