My unholy trinity of dubious vehicles.
VEXTRA at 4.48
VAB MEPHISTO at 4.02, unfortunately the missile nerf made it unplayable like nearly every other missile carrier.
Strv-103C at 3.97, actually revisiting it with the adjusted BRs, and it still slaps, and hull aiming still sucks.
Most of my KDRs are around 1.1 the avenger and the conqueror are probably my most impressive KDRs the others are due to flukes and very low playtime. My beaufighter KDR was from a game where I ground pounded the whole match until I was the last plane on my team, I climbed and killed a couple bombers, and then managed to make BF109 players overshoot repeatedly into my cannons. I died after killing about ≈9 players but had my cannons jam (I was basically stock) so when the last guy overshot me due to my whole plane being orange or red, but I was unable to kill him and fell from the sky
I hope you are aware of that K/D in a vehicle or for the total account is a number without any relevance and is not even remotely close to be used as an assessment of quality.
Playing just meta vehicles, using certain game mechanics and/or playing as part of a squad with experienced players boost all sorts of stats, including K/D.
Even considering that the K/D ratio is the main decisive and ultimate truth in a shooter game - the absence of a functioning (SB)MM or balance in the narrow and broader sense in order to support gaijin’s economic goals is preventing any quality assessment connected to stats like K/D ratio…
So if you look for high K/Ds the relevance of the number strongly depends on preferred game mode, played nation, vehicle type and WR. Even the number of kills per battle is not decisive - it depends imho on the mode (multi-spawn vs single spawn) and actually on the quality of your “victims”.
With regards to Air RB: K/D or KpB is useless as long as certain BRs are dominated by op aircraft with way too low BRs. If you consider the sharp decrease of average player experience every player with >10 days of fighter experience is way better than 95% of his opponents, so if the vet uses an op vehicle he just multiplies his kills.
Example:
Check the stats of the DONE squad on statshark, a squad with very experienced pilots. Individual vehicle K/Ds are usually in the range of 25-50:1 whilst overall K/Ds (across all vehicles and long term) is way lower.
Regarding your survey:
I was quite surprised that my highest values were shown in 2 different Rank III props - both with ~ 15:1 K/D:
The JP/Thai Helldiver
The UK P-47
Whilst the Helldiver flies (i use a joystick in Air RB) like a brick and was a real pain to use for a BP challenge - the P-47 flies very stable at high speeds and is a real joy to fly.
But these aircraft show perfectly the weaknesses of stat analysis.
So whilst it was a challenge to get some kills in the Helldiver (as my team mates were aggressive like hell) as the ememy teams died way too fast, the UK P-47 showed the opposite as especially on these infinite loops of (at least 200) matches on Pacific maps you usually play alone 1 vs all after 6-8 minutes as your 5-7 US/UK team mates died like flies.
It’s only really usable for tanks and depends a lot of when it was played since BR’s, meta etc. change all the time.
For planes should be a way to filter it for ground RB and air RB and not just both together. Because it counts every ground AI target as a ground kill for example which is obviously not the same as a ground kill in ground RB.
Yak-15 for me: 6.65K/D. 64 games (all CAP in ground RB) 14 deaths 89 air kills and 4 SPAAs that thought it was a good idea to be shooting at tanks instead of watching the sky… shown the error of their ways…
